Just collected my cat today St Patrick's Day, and am so pleased with the care and attention given to my cat. She has bounced back from being very sick, thanks to all the lovely staff in both Maynooth and Lucan who looked after her. I would highly recommend them. I have had very positive experiences at the Carton Vet Clinic with my Wheaten Terrier, Riley. My appointments were really easy to book. John has always been extremely professional, caring and considerate, all the while doing a very thorough job to make sure nothing else was wrong with my dog after he has made his diagnosis. On top of that, all the other staff members are outgoing and cheerful. Their grooming service has always made my dog look fluffy and clean cut. Riley always has a fun time whenever we go there, despite whatever has been wrong with him. I'm delighted to have found a great vet practice.

John and the team at Carton Vets know us and our 3 dogs inside out! Our oldie "Puppy" had a terrible time of it almost 2 years ago now and thankfully with constant monitoring and adjustment of meds he is a stable IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) patient now at 12 and a very happy dog. The monthly subscription option is an excellent offer to be considered.

Carton Vets are really excellent. We've been bringing our dogs here for 6 years and the care and attention they've had is fantastic. The staff are friendly and professional, and give the dogs a nice welcome when they come in the door. John is a great vet who's very methodical and explains everything clearly and gives you confidence that he has the best interests of your pets at heart. Highly recommended.

Brought my lab Nala in as she had had sore ears for a little while. Laura the vet treated her. I have to say the clinic here is handy for me. Love how easy it is to get parked. The nurses in the clinic (especially Carrie!) were so nice and friendly and made a fuss of Nala who is not usually a fan of going to the vet. I was seen promptly and overall experience was great. Definitely recommend, I will be back!

Just before Christmas my little dog Poppy was suddenly taken ill. She was unable to walk and had had a seizure. I took her straight to Carton vets. As Poppy was so unwell she was taken in to a back...
Just before Christmas my little dog Poppy was suddenly taken ill. She was unable to walk and had had a seizure. I took her straight to Carton vets. As Poppy was so unwell she was taken in to a back room for monitoring. While I was waiting to see a vet I heard a very strange sound coming from the back. I just knew it was Poppy and that it was serious. Vet Laura who was already in consultation with another customer immediately went to check on Poppy. Poor Poppy had suffered another seizure and was critically ill. As it was after 8.00p.m and past the practice closing time I didn't know what to do. Poppy needed all night care and if she had another seizure it would probably be fatal. Laura offered to bring her home and to ring me if she deteriorated further during the night. Amazingly Poppy was still alive the next morning and continued to recover gradually over the next few weeks. She will need to take medication for the rest of her life but if not for the superb care she received from Laura and Rita on the night and subsequent after care, she definitely wouldn't be here today. I can't say how much that care meant to me and it saved Poppy's life. Thank you so much Laura and Rita and thanks also to Christine, John and Rebecca for the great after care. Definitely above and beyond the call of duty. Teresa.

Absolutely disgusted with the way my dog was treated here.brought her in back in 2013 with very sore front leg.paid a fortune for xrays and I was told her leg was fine.for next few years her leg was still really bad and I had to go here every second week for medication.spent thousands.decided to get second opinion from another very good vet.turns out her leg was broke very bad in 2013 when I brought her in and they said it was ok.she has BN in unreal pain for 4 years cause of these vets and her leg is now completely destroyed for rest of her life.legeal action will be taken soon against carton vets by me .disgusted........

We have been with Carton Vetinary Clinic for the past 4.5 years since our dog was 11 weeks old. We have been lucky that our dog Xabi has been healthy and we only ever had to take him to the vets for checkups and minor enough issues. They have always been very helpful and professional. In December last year Xabi had to have an operation which turned out to be complicated surgery. There was no choice but to operate however it was a lot for our little dog to go through as the surgery wasn't straightforward. The team in Carton were absoloutley brilliant. He had to stay in for a number of nights and they looked after him so well which was so reassuring for us as it was such a stressful time. We received updates from them 3 times daily on his progress and the care they gave him was above and beyond. Xabi is now doing great and we can't actually believe how quickly he bounced back. We truly believe the care he received is the reason for this. It's when something like this happens that you're so grateful for a practice that know your pet and who you can rely on!

Our vet. Well not 'our' vet but...you know what I mean. We've been taking our dog here for 3 years and they've never been anything less than excellent. Being good with animals is one thing, but our dog seems to actually enjoy seeing this vet! They've been good with last-minute appointments too, which is really reassuring.There's a groomers on site, and they do a selection of food, toys and treats. A few of the food varieties are hard to find elsewhere, so if you're very picky about what you feed your pet, this might be a good spot to check.

For the past 3 years we have been using Carton Veterinary Clinic in Maynooth to look after our extended family of Dogs, Cats, Rabbits and Guinea pigs.
Our experience of the whole Carton team has been overwhelmingly positive. The Vets are highly competent, patient, caring and when unfortunately necessary, very compassionate. The Nurses are also fantastic, friendly and always willing to offer day to day advice and accommodate any special requests.
However, the biggest endorsement comes from the Patients and its clear to see how good Carton is when you see the reaction of our Dogs when they come for a visit. As soon as they see the building their tails start to swing with excitement and they literally cannot wait to get in the door and say hi to all the staff. Their reaction, even after painful experiences such as neutering, shows just how well they are cared for and treated and is why we cannot recommend the team in Carton Vets enough.

Brought my lab Nala in as she had had sore ears for a little while. Laura the vet treated her. I have to say the clinic here is handy for me. Love how easy it is to get parked. The nurses in the clinic (especially Carrie!) were so nice and friendly and made a fuss of Nala who is not usually a fan of going to the vet. I was seen promptly and overall experience was great. For the past 3 years we have been using Carton Veterinary Clinic in Maynooth to look after our extended family of Dogs, Cats, Rabbits and Guinea pigs.
Our experience of the whole Carton team has been overwhelmingly positive. The Vets are highly competent, patient, caring and when unfortunately necessary, very compassionate. The Nurses are also fantastic, friendly and always willing to offer day to day advice and accommodate any special requests.
However, the biggest endorsement comes from the Patients and its clear to see how good Carton is when you see the reaction of our Dogs when they come for a visit. As soon as they see the building their tails start to swing with excitement and they literally cannot wait to get in the door and say hi to all the staff. Their reaction, even after painful experiences such as neutering, shows just how well they are cared for and treated and is why we cannot recommend the team in Carton Vets enough.
