My dog spence was one of the most intelligent lovely dogs I ever had.he had problems at age 10 pooing and newbridge vet operated and it was good for a it a year then we saw he was struggling and we ended up having to clean and remove poo hurting him in the process but doing all we could to keep him with us.last friday we brought him back to the vets but it was agreed we done all we could and it was cruel to let him continue.my wife was treated with so much compassion by all the staff she was overwhelmed.they realized that SPENCER was loved so much and we are heartbroken.He went to sleep that afternoon.This morning a card arrived by post and our hearts once again where filled with the love shown to us by this super sensitive veterinary clinic offering their condolences and inserting a paw print on the card.To all at newbridge veterinary clinic thank you so much you are a credit to your occupation and a credit to the patients you diligently treat.

My review has a bit of a story to it: I had a Saint Bernard called Harry for 10.5years. At first Danny McHenry was at the practice. We did not get along. Harry had hip dysphasia from 6 months. Danny looked at the X-ray and gave my husband a note to advise putting Harry down. At that time Harry was not limping and was in good form. I got advice from the best orthopedic vet in the country, Shane Guerin in Cork. He is like a consultant really, he told me he looks at the condition of the dog, not the X-ray. Anyway I moved vet and they were too far away. After minding Harry like a baby he was doing ok but he needed a local vet and I heard Danny had retired so I went back to Newbridge Vets.
A completely changed place. Absolutely lovely people. Progressive vets who will try modern treatments and will mind your pets so well. I wish I could remember the name of the lovely young female vet who cared for Harry after hours and kept phoning me for updates. She was an angel. I want to thank her.
Lucas is a very good kind vet and so are all who minded Harry. Sheila was very funny because Harry was always banging into her etc sitting on her. As straight as a die, shoots from the hip but has a heart of gold.
From the time Harry went back there he was a regular. With his hips and later heart issues, this was always going to be. I do feel that by the time he died they actually loved him. They gave me a lovely poem and sent a card when he passed. That meant so much to us.
Shane the nurse, I can’t thank him enough. He is so kind and helpful. He even phoned me to discuss when I was deciding on another puppy(took over a year). Now we have a new Golden retriever and I will be continuing to have him looked after by Newbridge Vets.
I am an owner that wants to be progressive with treatment but not unrealistic. They do not push expensive extras on you here. They will offer treatments only if they believe in them and when the time comes, they will be straight with you and won’t leave your pet in pain. Above all, they have so much love for animals and I trust them completely. I can not recommend them highly enough. I’d give a hundred stars if I could.

Staff very abrupt and ignorant....was unable to book my dog in for a groom and then collect.... but no they told me all dogs come in at 9 for the day.. I personally don't think that that is fair to the animal.. plus the place isn't very clean.... just not a nice place especially if you were a dog stuck in there in a cage all day....
