I have finally been able to write about our beautiful, brilliant, and fun-loving dog 'Brídín McDonagh' who sadly passed away in March 2023.
She walked in the door to us at two years plus and made herself a home. She was loyal, loving and calm; she was our first dog and later leader of the pack for our other two dogs April and Brandy. We gave her a second name because of her unknown past that caused her to have a knee operation to address this injury. Thanks to James and his team, their expert care and attention Bridin was well again for a long time having her annual checkups etc. When 'Brídín' died at about 15 years, it was after three months of expert care, during which we were able to care for her and prepare for her departure. Thanks, James, for going us that time you were patient, professional and honest.

He was basically a goner, but James did balloon dilation, with an amazing outcome. He's a perfectly healthy, naughty little 3-month-old, and everybody adores him. I highly recommend James Victory.

After our dog Poppy got Hit by a car on saturday night We called James and he came out and took her home and into the surgery the following day. She had a fractured skull broken nose fractured ribs and a collasped lung. He was absolutely brilliant with her and as far as we're concerned he saved her life. Took 3 stray kittens here all with cat flu 2 to rehome and one to keep but needed medical treatment. James said one had pan leucopenia (fatal and uncommon in ireland. he just looked at her, poked her back (no symptoms of pan leucopenia) and gave her 60/40 she would die.He gave her drops and apparently a drip,an injection which i I have no proof he actually did because he told me to come back in an hr. Asked if i would take all 3 kittens back home to get them well and after the sicky one dies I'll have 2 others to choose from. Went home and Googled pan leucopenia seen the kitten had no symptoms what so ever.I googled the drops to make sure they was ok to use, her eyes started to get better.Noticed she had marks on her eyes and found they are ulcers which he never looked at.He charged me 55 bloody euro didn't do a full examination,wrongly diagnosed the kitten and sent her home.Rang James over week ago,he never bothered to ring me back( i rang twice) over the wrongly diagnosed supposedly dying kitten after I questioned his diagnosis.I went to another vet in roscommon he said she had cat flu,listened to her chest,gave her tablets,injection,took her temperature, took blood to get serum to fix her eyes and charged me 31.50 and 30 of that was consultation fee. I'll never take any of my animals to james again,can't believe I let this man operate on my dog last year which could of been wrongly diagnosed and been nothing

My dog has been suffering a lot of pain from arthritis for quite some time now he was on three different types of painkiller but they were no longer effective. We went to James to see if there was anything else that could be done for him he had a course of injections for four weeks and there is some improvement he is never going to be pain free but his pain has most definitely decreased and he loves to see James and his staff.

This place is a joke your ment to help animals weather their stray or not, your more worried about getting money before you even think about helping, a poor stray little kitten attacked badly hurt and you wouldn't boder your whole to help, by law your ment to take animals and help them weather they have a home or not and just because this animal didn't you wouldn't you rather let an innocent animal die, I will never bring an animal to you your useless and heartless and believe me I'll be spreading the word of how cruel you are, thanks to another vet they had no bother helping the kitten that's someone who has a heart and certainly does not care about money because their doing what they love which is animals unlike you, you'll get no luck for it

Today we found hurt and homeless kitten on the road,she ran under driving car,Driver stopped and we took her to Vet at Crandara. They were so helpful and we hope that she recovers and finds loving home

Want to say a massive thanks to James and all his staff for all they done for us and our dog Spot. Spot was hit nearly 4 weeks ago and we rushed him into James in his surgery. He had a fractored hip and was in shock. He told us to be prepared. Today Spot had his last check up and is flying it. He can't jump on the couch yet but he is getting there. Thanks again.

After our dog Poppy got Hit by a car on saturday night We called James and he came out and took her home and into the surgery the following day. She had a fractured skull broken nose fractured ribs and a collasped lung. He was absolutely brilliant with her and as far as we're concerned he saved her life. Would highly recommend James if anyone out there needs a great Vet. The Downey Family.

Took 3 stray kittens here all with cat flu 2 to rehome and one to keep but needed medical treatment. James said one had pan leucopenia (fatal and uncommon in ireland. he just looked at her, poked her back (no symptoms of pan leucopenia) and gave her 60/40 she would die.He gave her drops and apparently a drip,an injection which i I have no proof he actually did because he told me to come back in an hr. Asked if i would take all 3 kittens back home to get them well and after the sicky one dies I'll have 2 others to choose from. Went home and Googled pan leucopenia seen the kitten had no symptoms what so ever.I googled the drops to make sure they was ok to use, her eyes started to get better.Noticed she had marks on her eyes and found they are ulcers which he never looked at.He charged me 55 bloody euro didn't do a full examination,wrongly diagnosed the kitten and sent her home.Rang James over week ago,he never bothered to ring me back( i rang twice) over the wrongly diagnosed supposedly dying kitten after I questioned his diagnosis.I went to another vet in roscommon he said she had cat flu,listened to her chest,gave her tablets,injection,took her temperature, took blood to get serum to fix her eyes and charged me 31.50 and 30 of that was consultation fee. I'll never take any of my animals to james again,can't believe I let this man operate on my dog last year which could of been wrongly diagnosed and been nothing

My dog has been suffering a lot of pain from arthritis for quite some time now he was on three different types of painkiller but they were no longer effective. We went to James to see if there was anything else that could be done for him he had a course of injections for four weeks and there is some improvement he is never going to be pain free but his pain has most definitely decreased and he loves to see James and his staff.

This place is a joke your ment to help animals weather their stray or not, your more worried about getting money before you even think about helping, a poor stray little kitten attacked badly hurt and you wouldn't boder your whole to help, by law your ment to take animals and help them weather they have a home or not and just because this animal didn't you wouldn't you rather let an innocent animal die, I will never bring an animal to you your useless and heartless and believe me I'll be spreading the word of how cruel you are, thanks to another vet they had no bother helping the kitten that's someone who has a heart and certainly does not care about money because their doing what they love which is animals unlike you, you'll get no luck for it
