Established in 1986 by three veterinary surgeons, Westgate Veterinary Hospital has grown into a well respected and renowned veterinary practice that provides its services throughout the counties of Louth and Meath.
The practice has a large and experienced staff which includes six veterinary surgeons, seven veterinary nurses and a number of auxiliary staff.
In addition to its main facility (Westgate Veterinary Hospital), located in Scarlet Street, Drogheda, the practice also operates a veterinary clinic in Laytown, Co. Meath.
Located at the Veterinary Hospital is Westgate Animal Health Shop that can cater for all of your pet’s requirements, and where friendly advice is always on hand to help you make the choices that will ensure your pet’s health and well being.
Westgate Veterinary Hospital also provides its clients with a comprehensive pet grooming service at its Head-To-Tail grooming parlour which is also located at the Veterinary Hospital in Drogheda.

Friends forever people, efficient in every way, understanding, helpful, kind and loving people, left my dog for an operation knowing that my pet dog was well looked after and cared for. The staff also called me to let me know how my dog was diagnosed and keeping after the surgery. Well done all involved.

There was no option but to put her to sleep & the staff were humane professional but above all extremely sensitive & that was a great consolation in difficult circumstances

100% professionals. I was there with my Cat and his rare leg in pain. They made everything very quick. X-ray etc. They gave me total explanation what is wrong and how should I care about him home. The price on the end was accurate for such a professionalism. It was not cheap but I know that my lovely boy was in the best hands. I am giving them five stars and will go there again if any more problems occur.

100% professionals. I was there with my Cat and his rare leg in pain. They made everything very quick. X-ray etc. They gave me total explanation what is wrong and how should I care about him home. The price on the end was accurate for such a professionalism. It was not cheap but I know that my lovely boy was in the best hands.
