In my humble opinion why go anywhere else when i already attend the best... It's that simple.. Thank you for all your dedication everyone in Avenue Rd Vets.... Read Less

I would not bring my cat back to this place. My cat had an infected mouth, was in chronic pain and wasn’t eating. After previous visits to another vet with no improvement, I thought I would try this place in Dundalk. Vet told me she gave him an 8 WEEK lasting injection and that should cure his mouth problem and ulcers? After 5 days he was still not eating and hiding. No improvement whatsoever. Appointment costed me €68 for less than 30 minutes of consultation. Brought him to a voluntary vet somewhere else who first thing noticed an deep infection in his ear. The infection in his ear was so bad it needed to be treated before his mouth. How did this vet not notice that? Money gone down the drain. So disappointed. She did not conduct a thorough check on him. She didn’t even prescribe antibiotics. Stay clear if you have a cat. Read Less

1 4 MOST HELPFUL MOST RECENT STAR RATING John Mac Guinness reviewed Avenue Veterinary Hospital 5 star Just now In regards to the review below... Eliza Ozola , we at the avenue road veterinary hospital agree that every pet is part of the family and brings happiness to any home . we are upset each time that an animal dies in our care. however in this situation we can not take any responsibility or take any liability for the claims that you have made. This dog had been seen by two previous veterinary practices in the Dundalk area for its poor condition before being presented to us. so for you to label us incompetent to treat animals is completely hypocritical. The fact of the matter is that you presented your dog to us for treatment in an already highly deteriorated state. She was extremely weak, thin and practically unable to stand. you were told that she could have cancer affecting and causing her to show neurological signs. I also told you that in our opinion the condition was long lasting and had been present for a long time before you brought the dog in. The option of euthanasia was discussed with you and your partner on humane grounds at the time due to the condition of the dog. This option was a reasonable option in the circumstances that the dog was presented to us. You asked us to try and treat the dog which we did to the best of our ability. Blood tests were done fluid therapy was administered but unfortunately the dog passed away from her medical condition. your claim that you did not find out about the animals passing until 3 hours after it occurred was down to you not answering your phone as we tried to contact you on the number you provided to us 3 times. at 9:10 on that Tuesday morning we contacted you and informed you asking you to come into the practise as we feared the worst for your dog.however you didn't arrive to the clinic until lunchtime that day . Bettsy unfortunately died at approximately 10:30 that morning and we attempted to contact you on three separate occasion one being immediately after the dog had passed to inform you of this. But unfortunately you did not answer our calls . As a partner in this practice I feel that your post is highly inaccurate and untrue as to the events that occurred! If you want to come in and talk to me about what you are more than welcomeRead Less
