A couple of months ago we had to put one of our dogs down.It was on a Sunday and the vet on call drove out to our house to do the job.He handled the situation so well as we had a traumatised 9 yr old that had seen the dog in pain that day.Afterwards we decided to get the dog cremated and hes ashes were returned in a lovely wooden box with room for a picture which brought comfort to our boy.I could not recommend Summerhill veterinary clinic and its staff enough. 2018 started on an all time low for me 2 dogs in 2 days to put to sleep. Out of respect to there memory I'm posting pictures of them ones l took n one I drew of doogle who will be so fondly missed rescued 7 years ago from an awful woman in Tullamore 67 days on d donedeal , several operations followed but he had a great life here even though he flinched for 3 months when he was petted but gradually knew we ment him no harm. He ran down to the hen pen every morning with Jack ...even licked d new chicks to life. Ted had a rare neurological defect dat the owner knew about but didn't disclose it for the want of a sale he lived 10mths up to yesterday. The man from lathra seen a magnet for hopeless cases n it was us, myself n d 3 kids took him with open arms n again grew very attached . I want to thank summerhill vetenary clinic for being so kind n understanding d last 2 days I know it wasn't easy for them especially Grainne. Just to say if u see a hopeless case n ur kind hearted, take him or her in, it might be breaking my heart now but i could never imagine not giving them some resemblence of happinessx See More Read Less

Fantastic facilities,vets and staff! If it wasn't for Grainne Baxter and her immediate diagnosis of a disc problem our French Bulldog would be paralysed. The dog is now recovering and doing well.
