We have been taking our precious puppy here since we got her. They are extremely helpful and seem very caring. I'm a first time dog owner and the staff always patiently answer all of my silly questions with a smile. I get the feeling that these vets and all supporting staff really care about the animals they are looking after.

I cannot believe the bad reviews for this place - maybe they are talking about a different place.
We have been coming here for about 30 years at various times for treatment for different cats. The care has always been excellent, whether for planned annual check-ups or for emergency treatment.
We would never consider taking our beloved cats anywhere else and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for expert and caring veterinary care in the Albany area.

Unprofessional service. Absolutely horrible. Made us wait for almost an hour 45 minutes even though we booked for it. With Staff walking happily and chatting with each other. No one was at the reception when we try to pay.
Very unprofessional vet as well. Couldn't do injection properly and made my puppy bleed!
Watch out for this, wouldn't recommend.

Very unprofessional vet as well. Couldn't do injection properly and made my puppy bleed!
Watch out for this, wouldn't recommend.

Daniel & the crew here are amazing. They've been looking after us for about 10 or more odd years now, and we wouldn't ever move ourselves from Albany Vet Hospital being our personal vet clinic, although we stay on the other side of the city now.
Personally they have always taken care of our family members till the end, even home visits for the sad day that the Rainbow Bridge opens up for a loved one. A clinic that becomes very personal with you, caring, understanding, and even in the face of the odds supportive and guiding to help you along and understand what is going on. Our pets have always walked away sorted, without needing to return to try something else, or bum around trying different things. They get you sorted. The nurses have always been lovely with our family members and do everything they can to help them be calm and comfortable during visits.
Professionally we use them also for pre-check transporting dogs & cats internationally, MPI certified they make the whole process slick and smart whereas other clinics we'd tried in the early days could wreck your plans quick smart, which is no good when an owner is expecting their pets to turn up on the other side of the world on a specific date!.
Very professional, and on the ball re MPI checks.
Highly recommended, you can't go wrong with Albany Vet Hospital, well worth the travel if you are not on the North Shore, and a receiving and caring reception that is not always easy to find in all clinics during your times of need.

Having had pets for the last 35 years, and visited to a lot of vets over that time, Albany Veterinary Hospital is the best we have been to, bar none. The care, attention, and loving nature of the vets and nurses made difficult visits a pleasant experience. They truly understand animals from both a physiological and psychological perspective. The pet comes first closely followed by the owner. I cannot express in words how much we appreciate their care of our pets and of us. Exceptional people.

We have been taking our precious puppy here since we got her. They are extremely helpful and seem very caring. I'm a first time dog owner and the staff always patiently answer all of my silly questions with a smile. Daniel & the crew here are amazing. They've been looking after us for about 10 or more odd years now, and we wouldn't ever move ourselves from Albany Vet Hospital being our personal vet clinic, although we stay on the other side of the city now.
