Just got back from my dogs annual check up and once again I am impressed with the service from parkhill vet hospital. Reception staff are always helpful and the vets seem to understand how expensive animals can be so try and move vaccinations together to save money. I also like that the vets don't make you feel guilty about not spending huge amounts on dog food and instead give you other options for managing pet health. Thanks for all your care parkhill team! Cannot recommend Parkhill to anyone. My first unpleasant experience was when I took my cat in with gingivitis after being on a diet previously recommended by a different vet. I was talked to in a very derogatory fashion (after spending hundreds of dollars with them) by the nurse who clearly had decided I did not care about my cat. Three years on he has perfect teeth with no further problems after a simple change in diet. My second experience was when my dog broke her leg (this experience was after they merged into the Vet Group). It was on a Friday and I was waiting before they opened having come straight from the emergency vet. I left her with them requesting they get back to me with prices ASAP. I did not hear from them at all and had to call them after lunch to see what was going on. I was told "she is comfortable - is there anything else I can help you with". I was gobsmacked with this response and it was so late in the day I could not look at any other "vet" options. To cut a very long sad story short I surrendered her to the SPCA at their suggestion, when they finally came back to me with exorbitant prices. I had to make a decision on the spot as they were going to charge me a ridiculous amount of money to keep her over the weekend while I looked at my options. All these people care about is money. It is interesting the SPCA told me to give myself some time before getting another dog. NO-ONE GAVE ME AND MY FAMILY ANY TIME. Read Less

We took our cat here because our old vet closed. The people are nice, service was good but the prices are exorbitant! we've been twice for the same wound and 4 weeks and $650.00 later and my cat still has a gaping wound on his leg. I can't afford to go back so am seeking out another (more affordable) option.
Unfortunately I can only recommend this vet to someone who has a fat cheque book! :o(
