I always go to Forrest Hill Vets with my cats or dog, and have done for years. They are great people to deal with. The staff are always courteous and very friendly. They always explain what is happening to your pet, and are able to help you thru the good, and also the bad. Forrest hill Vets has always given us the most superb service and treatment for our cats. Before we were about to embark on an overseas trip to England, I noticed that our cat Sasha wasnt eating her biscuits in the morning. Because she was going to spend a big chunk of time at the Cat Home I booked her into the Forrest Hill Vets to get her looked at. She was diagnosed with 3 bad teeth that needed to come out. On the morning of her operation I filled out the pre- operation forms and noticed that there was an option for having your cat groomed while it was sedated. Because Sasha is a Persian and has a long coat, I asked how much this would cost. I decided against it as we were watching our money because of our trip away to England. When I came to pick her up 2 days later, as she needed specialist care, I found that the vet had very kindly groomed her for us free of charge. We have always had the very best of care for our 3 cats at Forest Hill vets and thoroughly recommend them. My cat Minty had been off colour for two weeks, and then one morning developed a large (hot) swelling on her back haunch. I contacted the clinic and they told me to bring her in immediately as it sounded like an infection. I did and it was, she was operated on immediately after a thorough examination - it was a serious infection and I was amazed how the vets put her at ease. A case of real 'cat whispering' as far as I am concerned. Three days later she was home and back to her old naughty self. I can't say enough about the staff and vets I dealt with on every level of this clinic - they provided thoroughly professional and compassionate care, and knowing my cat is very particular, nervous and not very social -was actually surprised how she returned so relaxed, well fed and at ease. The care was simply superb and everyone so accomodating ! Thank you Forrest Hill Vet Clinic and all the staff - you couldn't have provided better care and I unreservedly recommend you (as I have!!) to anyone needing the best care for their much loved pets..... I think Forrest Hill Vets is the best clinic in Auckland. I've been going there over the past 10 years. The vet nurses are compassionate and love helping our fur babies.
