Terrible Service I am so disappionted with the service i recieved on Friday for Lola Lola had bite marks which we really needed to be checked out .. Lola has been going to VETCARE GREYLYNN for a while and she has had good care from Jody who is very good with Lola and very professional and confident..and the nurses she's meet before have been great also confident and caring when dealing with Lola. Lola has had many painful treatments done to her ..skin scrappings stitches removed from her dew claw removal op and has also been spey there all without issue. On friday I did notice new staff members we had not meet before. In examination room Anu the vet was stand offish and wasnt coming close to Lola even when i was getting her to sit ..I felt like Anu wasnt at all confident during the consultation not even getting close enough to check her wounds I have and so has my partner expericenced Anu's stand offish behaivour before when she has seen Lola .. Consulting Lola from a length away .. When i got home i told Lola's dad about what had happened and he said ring and complain which i did I spoke to Natalie on the phone i told her about my concerns during the consultation .. I asked where Jody was as she had always been so confident with Lola Natalie said she was only in a few days a week and could make me an appointment with Jody for next week ! ...after the long weekend when Lola has injuires so i didnt think that was such a great option ! As i had already paid for a consult . I had been advised to ask for the notes Anu had written during her consultaion so i rang back more annouyed and Natatlie answered again I asked Natalie if i could send the notes or if she could read them out to me .. she said no as she was busy ..I was so annouyed about some of the things Natatlie was saying and making it worse! I recieved the notes and to my Suprise it said i refused to MUZZLE Lola !!! WHAT !! no such thing had been said during the whole consultation Muzzle I'm sure i would remembered her saying muzzle as Lola has never been asked ever to wear one during any of her treatments and has many different nurses dealing with her. If Anu is uncomfortable with certain dog types maybe she should not consult them and waste out time and money !! i am so upset by this situation and still upset today ! I have never been treated so badly !! What has happened Vet care Grey Lynn ?!?! Where have all the friendly and professional staff gone who love and care for Lola ?!?! $150 for a bad consultation and false accusations !!! I am seriously considereing changing vets ..which is a shame as many of the other staff members have been so great to us and Lola ..Read Less

I love this vet practice. I remember Alex saying to me many years ago that he would sometimes forget what an owner looked like but would never forget the pet. I thought, 'Wow, that's what I want in a vet; a place where my animal/s is remembered and treated like 'an individual'. It's less about me and more about my pets.' I have been going to Vetcare Grey Lynn from day one, I have a dog and two cats and I have found the service to be professional at all times. I have been treated with respect and deep empathy and my pets, particularly my old dog, have been kept in good health. I can ask all sorts of questions, some stupid ones, and I am given the information I need to feel comfortable. Telephone support is great, the nurses are both helpful and knowledgeable and will slot in an urgent appointment if it is necessary. They are not perfect: there is a bit of variation in the quality of 'bedside manner' depending on which vet is on duty. However, care of my animals have never been compromised by this. There is only one thing I would change: the nurses need to be trained to remember the owner's name. I don't know how many times I have to say or spell my name and I visit the clinic at least once a month to pick up food. Happily, they always remember my pets on their regular visits. Also I think it's wonderful that Vetcare Grey Lynn work in the Pacific Islands. This makes me think they really care about the welfare of animals and not just about running a successful business.
