Manukau After Hours Veterinary Clinic

General Info
Manukau After Hours Veterinary Clinic opened in 1996. We are a team of dedicated Veterinarians and Veterinary Nurses qualified to provide the highest level of after hours emergency service for your pets.
Our clinic is open from 6pm weekdays until 8am the following morning. On weekends we are open from midday Saturday right through until 8.00am Monday morning. Our services are designed to provide care as first line support during holidays and after hours when your regular day-time clinic is closed
Manukau After Hours Veterinary Clinic is a full service animal emergency clinic and will take both emergency cases as well as less urgent medical and surgical issues (Although we do not do routine work e.g. Vaccinations, micro chipping, spey, neuters ect).Our veterinarians are experienced in all types of conditions and treatments.
In addition we provide care to day time clinics that send us overnight monitoring cases for their critical and post-operative patients.
All pets receive constant observation and veterinary care through out the night.
Our team includes at least one emergency veterinarian and one veterinary nurse every night to tend to your pets needs and requirements

We took our dog here late in the evening after she ate some raisins and chocolate-coated ginger lumps. They treated her quickly and professionally and she was bouncing around in no time. The staff were friendly and clearly care about the animals. It's not cheap! They also don't care for the animals beyond 8am so you have to take your pet to your normal vet for any follow-up care.

It was such an awful experience and I was so stressed during the whole ordeal but you guys were so good to deal with and only through your reassurance that she would be ok was I able to start to calm down. We can't thank Melissa and the team who worked the Christmas afternoon shift enough. We bought in our little Chinese Crested dog in a very bad way, after big dog verses little dog attack. They urgently stopped her wounds from bleeding and stabilised her to be transferred to Carrington Veterinary Specialists. Melissa stayed well after her shift had finished and our beautiful girl wouldn't have survived without your kindness love and care, we will be grateful and thankful always for what you did.

I've just left a poor very hurt hedgehog with the awesome after hour care veterinary nurses. The hedgehog was being mauled by the neighbors dogs and was in bad way. After calling and speaking with Judith I was down at there door in minutes and welcomed warmly. They were able to calm my nerves and help this very large and hurt hedgehog. I hope he or she will be ok. Thanks team yous are awesome. Now I know if I become a fur baby parent we're in really good hands.

Thanks for your fantastic service and care of Angel last night at your after hours vets, the care was wonderful, they were very gentle and let me hold her when they did the injection into her vein, which helped her cope with the stress of being so unwell, I can't thank you enough for thinking of her and myself who was very stressed too! She is on the mend today with her medicines reviewed and dosage made larger!

For the team of vets:
We had to rush our young Shih Tzu to them on morning of 19/12/15......I found that he was suffering with paralysis that was advancing quickly.....a mum and dads worst nightmare....
For the team of vets:
We had to rush our young Shih Tzu to them on morning of 19/12/15......I found that he was suffering with paralysis that was advancing quickly.....a mum and dads worst nightmare.....my husband rushed him in where he was placed in ICU and closely monitored......it was a difficult prognosis but they seemed to come to one conclusion, Botulism, although they weren't 100% sure.....the care he got was almost better than human treatment.....they kept us in contact as to his condition, however Botulism is a very serious condition and most doggies die......at 2:30am on 20/12/15 we were rung to be informed and with great tenderness from the lady vet, that our Special little boy had succumbed to this shocking disease, but passed very peacefully......my husband and I would just like to thank them all so very much for the care and tenderness they showed toward "Machete" and to us.......Roger and Deborah

We took our dog here late in the evening after she ate some raisins and chocolate-coated ginger lumps. They treated her quickly and professionally and she was bouncing around in no time. I've just left a poor very hurt hedgehog with the awesome after hour care veterinary nurses. The hedgehog was being mauled by the neighbors dogs and was in bad way. After calling and speaking with Judith I was down at there door in minutes and welcomed warmly. They were able to calm my nerves and help this very large and hurt hedgehog. I hope he or she will be ok. Thanks team yous are awesome. Now I know if I become a fur baby parent we're in really good hands.
