I just want to thank Dr KV and the ladies at the reception for their patience, professionalism and excellent service. Dr KV in particular was very caring and compassionate throughout the last few months as our 14 years old dog was fighting a serious illness. We have to say goodbye to him today but Dr KV and the staff at this Vet make it a lot easier for us. Would highly recommend and we wish we have found them earlier.

We found Chris after a very horrible experience with an overpriced undercaring emergency vet when our dog required supervision and a few stitches, she had been hit by a car late the previous evening, and spent the remainder of the night in the emergency vet having one injection for pain relief and supervision only. Mr emergency vet however, was not even willing to look at her until we had gone home and collected his $800.00 fee.
So when Chris put our dog's needs before anything else, we felt the relief and the comfort of knowing our girl was in the best hands. For that alone we didn't care what his fee was going to be. So we were very pleasantly surprised that it was a mere fraction of mr emergency vets, and no mention of it until she was well enough to come home later in the day. The nurse gave us updates throughout her stay on her progress. They really ticked all the boxes for us in that first visit, so we decided from that day that we wanted Chris to take care of all of our dogs veterinary needs, and five dogs later, and we're still all in, even though we no longer live in Auckland. I have total gratitute for Chris and his team. My boy actually wags his tail when he visits the surgery! So if you're looking for someone you can trust with your best friends life, I have no hesitation in recommending you call Normanby Rd Vets.

the most overpriced misdiagnosis and repeated wrong treatment that one can get. no after-treatment call to check up on the pet, not even pain management medication, nothing good that i can say about this place. they caused us immense distress triple expense and i nearly put my pet down on their 'competent advice' thankfully i went elsewhere and my pet is just fine the treatment was wrong the advice everything was wrong. AGAIN! i will make sure everyone i know never steps foot there ever again. dangerously incompetent and super greedy.

I first discovered this place as they were offering free neutering for male cats on a special day. We took our cat in and we were so impressed with the operation. Dr. Chris is the sole vet and he tends to all the animals. I really like this about the Normanby vets because it's always the same person looking after your pet. We have returned here with our cat ever since the free neutering day and we have always been really happy with the care our cat receives and the prices. This vet doesn't seem focused on profit like some others I have been to in the past. Their website is also really thoughtful offering tips and advice on how to care for your pets from fireworks to ageing to weight control it just shows they are always looking to help.

I just want to thank Dr KV and the ladies at the reception for their patience, professionalism and excellent service. Dr KV in particular was very caring and compassionate throughout the last few months as our 14 years old dog was fighting a serious illness. Dr. Chris is the sole vet and he tends to all the animals. I really like this about the Normanby vets because it's always the same person looking after your pet.
