I have had animals (mainly, but not exclusively, dogs) in my life for the last 60+ years so have obviously come into contact with, and needed the care given by, many veterinary practices over those years. I came over to NZ a couple of years ago and because we had just 'lost' our two Golden Retrievers prior to that, it was always the plan to puppy walk for the Blind Foundation (now being far too old to responsibly see another pup through to end of life and not wanting to cope with another 'end' story). I CANNOT praise this practice enough. We are in and out of there whenever the pups need attention and I cannot fault the staff in ANY way - from the welcome as you open the door (or as they answer the phone) to the kindness, expertise and level of care given by each and every one of them at every stage. Awesome care of Jeff Andrews today after his achieving some massive air and a unfortunately had a bad landing. Took off his whole nail and left the quick. Bandage for 2 days. Big thanks to Matt, Rachelle, Jan, Wendy and the rest of the team for the wonderful care they gave our little Louie today. He came in for a routine neuter but also had to have a retained tooth removed and copious amounts of ear fur plucked. We were anxious leaving him but we are so pleased that he was so well cared for and apparently got lots of cuddles too!
