Do not trust this vet! Everything I was told at this vet clinic about how to care for my puppy turned out to be completely wrong! They told me it would be safe to take her out after two vaccinations when it was not safe (luckily the puppy school place I went to in albany set me right before I put her at risk). They also told me to wait until 8 months until I got my pup spayed which resulted in her going though her first heat (at 7 months 2 weeks) and increasing her chance of getting mammary cancer as well as putting her at risk of having unwanted puppies. Finally, when I took her in because she seemed to be limping slightly, the vet said he could see no limp, but he recorded in her notes that she had foreleg lameness, this resulted in an expensive surgery 3 months down the track not being covered because of 'pre-existing conditions'. Dr Tristan helped me through the difficult process of putting down my beloved canine friend of 13 years. It was not an easy decision to make to say the least, but he was genuinely caring and attentive through the whole process and didn't rush me to be in and out the door. Tristan is the BEST VET EVER!!!! I have been to Tristan on more than one occasion and wouldn't look back I live in Pukekohe and would travel from Wellington just to take my dogs to Tristan. He really cares about animals and I couldn't thank him enough for what he did for Ruby when I took her there. He was the most kindest, gentlest person I have ever met and could not have a bad word to say about him. When I had to get the most important thing in my life put down Tristan was amazing and without him I would have never been able to get over it but he was so sweet and so kind to her and me and Steve that I could not thank him enough!!
