After spending a day at this clinic on a drip for kidney disease My cat was sent home with something in her arm and I was told she may not need further care and if she was better in the morning all that needed to happen was it to be removed. Once outside she couldn't stand up so I went back to ask for it to be taken out. The vet snapped at me and begrudgingly removed it. Then I took my cat home only for it to be very obvious to me she wasn't ok. I took her to another vet who confirmed thar she was beyond saving. This is the second time my poor animals have had this happen both vets work at this clinic part time. My cats fulltime vet (who also works there) gave her excellent care for 3 years and because of her I had more time with her. My warning to anyone reading this is purely don't trust the part time vets at this clinic to make the end of life decisions for your animals and to the clinic. You know who treated my cat that final day and her bad temper and lack of ability to see the obvious is inexcusable. I've waited a few weeks to leave this review in part because her main vet was amazing but that doesn't excuse the other two , especially the latest one.

Lauren,Raewyn,Meagan and the rest of the nursing at Vets at Animates Silverdale have been taken care of our two dogs for many years. Oscar is a bit of a special boy with behaviour issues and they have been nothing but patient with him. Our oldest Malachi had to put to sleep recently and Lauren came to house so we could do it home. Can’t tell you how appreciative we are for all the care they showed thru this tough time.

Meghan and the wonderful team at Animates Silverdale have been an absolute dream team with our very sick puppy. Since we took him in when he was only a month old and riddled with a terrible illness, they have continually surprised us with the knowledge and service they have shown. Every visit has been stress free and easy to deal with as Louie has been 100% relaxed and given the best care possible. We look forward to our vet visits now, no drama for our little guy.
Today he has been desexed and I didn’t worry about him being at Animates. I knew he was in the best possible hands with Meghan as she loves him as if he were her own dog.....she even took him home with her for 3 weeks when he was very young to make sure he survived through the night. I couldn’t ask for a more caring surgery. Wonderful people.
Highly recommend Animates at Silverdale to everyone.......

An absolute "Pawsome" practice. Great caring staff. My GS Lucky wasn't so Lucky but with the care and attention of this wonderful family my girl is happy and well back at home. Throughout mine and Lucky's ordeal Megan and all staff went that extra mile to make sure we got the care and attention needed to get threw the 8 week ordeal. I think the world of these guys - we brought our German Shepherd into the clinic on a Saturday morning, unsure of quite what was wrong. We saw Meagan....immediately she knew what was going on, she had Asha on a drip and was on the phone to after hours surgeons so that there was a plan, and she could provide us with options, should we wish to take them.
Asha was bleeding internally. She was dying and we didn't know. Meagan's quick actions saved her and her proactive treatment got us into a surgery in time.
I cannot thank her enough. It must be a hard job in situations like those and I want her to know that we are forever grateful!

I brought my ten year old cat, Bodhi, here to check on a leg injury. The checkup revealed him to be a generally healthy cat. Vet took him away to shave the fur around the injury and returned five minutes later to tell me he died.
15 minutes at this vet and my pet was dead. What could they say? “Sorry. Never happened before. Could have been this or it could have been that. Would you like us to send him away for a post mortem?”
How would you feel if this happened to you? I am so sorry Bodhi that I took you to the vet; you would have got better all on your own. Rest In Peace.

After spending a day at this clinic on a drip for kidney disease My cat was sent home with something in her arm and I was told she may not need further care and if she was better in the morning all that needed to happen was it to be removed. Oscar is a bit of a special boy with behaviour issues and they have been nothing but patient with him. Our oldest Malachi had to put to sleep recently and Lauren came to house so we could do it home. Meghan and the wonderful team at Animates Silverdale have been an absolute dream team with our very sick puppy. Since we took him in when he was only a month old and riddled with a terrible illness, they have continually surprised us with the knowledge and service they have shown. Every visit has been stress free and easy to deal with as Louie has been 100% relaxed and given the best care possible. We look forward to our vet visits now, no drama for our little guy.
Today he has been desexed and I didn’t worry about him being at Animates. I think the world of these guys - we brought our German Shepherd into the clinic on a Saturday morning, unsure of quite what was wrong. I brought my ten year old cat, Bodhi, here to check on a leg injury. The checkup revealed him to be a generally healthy cat. Vet took him away to shave the fur around the injury and returned five minutes later to tell me he died.
15 minutes at this vet and my pet was dead. What could they say? “Sorry. Never happened before. Could have been this or it could have been that. Would you like us to send him away for a post mortem?”
