A compassionate caring clinic. I’ve heard some horror stories about other practises and I don’t think I have to worry about that here. My dog has been treated at the practise for an eye injury and they’ve been great. My mums very elderly cats have a thorough treatment plan from the practise as well. Martin will definitely give you the hard word if you’re doing something wrong, but it’s all for the good of the animals and if you need to hear it, you need to hear it because it’ll benefit your little buddy. My cat has been a patient at your clinic for a long time and until the last visit, I have been very satisfied. However, I am now extremely unsatisfied. As a follow-up from the first visit, as the condition returned, I was made to feel like an absolute nuisance. I visited the clinic and had a 5 minute (or less) consult in reception, for which I was charged $50 (a very high hourly rate). I was then charged for the medication which was substantial plus $20 dollars for 3 little syringes, which you can buy for no more than $1. I also felt they were either EXTREMELY BUSY or not able to manage the workload. Of course the unexpected always happens which everyone understands however, it is how you handle it that matters to your clients. And I don't expect to be charged $50 for five minutes under any circumstances. Colleen Read Less

Mid last year, I was talking to a friend about my dog who has existing and ongoing health problems, and she recommended this vet clinic to me. She could not speak highly enough of the expertise and service she had received there in the past. I live in Hamilton and made the trip to Auckland to have my dog seen there and now I could not agree more with the high regard in which my friend holds this clinic. They showed explicit concern for the well-being of my dog and provided a thorough consultation, an accurate diagnosis and expertise advice and treatment for my dog. Two weeks ago my dog became ill (unrelated to her existing condition), and we made another trip to Auckland to see the fantastic team at St Heliers - Glendowie Vet Clinic. We were not let down, and the exceptional service we received on our first visit was again provided. The expertise and service they provide is second to none and more than worth the travel to Auckland to get it, which has lead me to recommend this clinic to friends in Hamilton who now too, make the trip to Auckland to ensure their pets are in the best possible hands. When your vet team cares about the well-being of your pet just as much as you do, then you know you're onto a winner! Thank you to the team at St Heliers - Glendowie Vet Clinic!!!!Read Less
