I dropped off an injured seagull I found at the park this morning . Attempting to put him in the cage in the patio and a lovely lady vet came out and took him from me. She told me she has another gull out the back to keep him company. Lovely service and a very kind lady. I would recommend them-in fact I am seriously considering changing vets! Cherry

I had to take our very sick cat to the vet during the Corona Virus lock down. What a wonderful team of vets and nurses/receptionist on duty. It was pouring with rain to add to the distress of the day. I was treated with respect and compassion. While following Corona virus protocol they still managed to run a very efficient,safe business. Thanks to the team for being available and putting themselves second to customers and their pets. Hence the 5 star rating.

We found a bird with a damaged wing which we couldn't care for. The lovely vet lady was so kind and took it to look after and release. Thank you

We really want to thank such an awesome team regarding our wee Fergus. They looked after our wee fella as if his was their own... So brilliant. They even came around home for his final wee journey.....

Such lovely staff. Hazy had a growth removed from her toenail by removing whole toenail.
Another vet quoted $1,500.
Cost $500!!
Plus she was treated with love and care.
Cannot recommend more!

I do hedgehog rescue take sick or injured hedgehogs into my home through hedgehog rescue on the net Jackie runs it from Wellington and people contact her she rings people like me and my friend all over new Zealand we are volunteers and pay for the everyday care ourselfs except for the vet visits thanks to the wonderful support from animal and bird hospital we even look after hedgehogs from the wonderful carding vets there I also take my cats there thanks animal and bird hospital vets ferry road Christchurch you are the best bet

Really sad I drove all the way from avonhead with a baby bird that had fallen from the nest. They refused to take it and told me to take it back and put in my back yard. Found its guts all over the la...

This is truly an altruistic veterinary practice. Vet Julie and her colleague vets and nurses provide exceptional care of pets brought in by owners and of injured pets and wildlife brought to them without owners. I have taken my pets here for over 20 years and cannot speak highly enough of the care provided at this clinic.

Was thinking about moving to this vet as I have had a good experience with one of the staff but after tonight I definitely will not be coming back again. Your loss as I have a lot of animals. The male vet was extremely rude and was more interested in taking the Micky out of my tattoo on my arm then paying attention to my sick animal!!! Also not very professional swearing when a customer is in the room.

I have taken my animals down to Animal and Bird Hospital for several years now. The staff are amazing, I have always found everyone to be very kind, caring and compassionate. The price for desexing is affordable and my animals have always recovered very quickly indeed. Everything is certainly explained well to you giving you options to make the best decision for your pets. I would highly recommend this vet. A fabulous team down there. A special thanks to Mel for all her help.

One of our dogs has had an eye removed because of glaucoma and the care was excellent and she made a quick recovery....can't praise this place highly enough...A++++

I had to take our very sick cat to the vet during the Corona Virus lock down. What a wonderful team of vets and nurses/receptionist on duty. It was pouring with rain to add to the distress of the day. I was treated with respect and compassion. While following Corona virus protocol they still managed to run a very efficient,safe business. I have taken my animals down to Animal and Bird Hospital for several years now. The staff are amazing, I have always found everyone to be very kind, caring and compassionate. The price for desexing is affordable and my animals have always recovered very quickly indeed.
