General Info
Northlands Animal Care Hospital was first established in the Papanui area in 1981. We then outgrew our original
location (opposite Northlands Mall) and in 2000 moved into a brand new purpose built hospital, which complies
with strict “American Animal Hospital Association Standards” and is located on the corner of Cranford Street and
Main North Road.
Your pet’s health and well-being are our highest priority! It is our goal to preserve and strengthen that,
using modern veterinary medicine with good old-fashioned care, compassion and respect!!
Your pet has the benefits of the latest medical technology at Northlands Animal Care Hospital.
Our caring Veterinarians and staff have a fantastic level of expertise. Our commitment for all of our staff is to continuing education, with training in superior technology and the latest medicines, diagnostics and procedures. We are happy to answer all questions about your pet’s health anytime!
Our surgical procedures use state of the art equipment in which we perform a wide range of procedures from soft tissue and cancer treatment to more advanced orthopaedic and reconstructive operations.
We have a modern onsite lab that gives us a complete blood picture and internal profile in less than 15 minutes. Our radiology suite provides while you wait x-rays. We also offer CT and ultrasound imaging. We can then develop an appropriate treatment plan for your pet.
We welcome all new puppies and kittens into our practice and we have wellness plans for pets of every age.
We believe that client education is the first and most important step to promoting excellent pet health. We offer up to date educational material for clients to take home.

WORKED THESE VETS ARE ONLY AFTER MONEY QUOTED 1500 FORM THEM WITH A 700 ELSE WHERE BEWARE!!!! THEY WILL NOT BE SEE ANY MORE OF MY PETS

Euan is the most caring vet I've ever dealt with. Our purebred golden lab puppy arrived from the Breeder at 8 weeks old small, underweight and full of intestinal worms. We took Daisy to Euan as I had a feeling after two days with us something wasn't right. We went to Euan as they are closer to home rather than the vet I'd previously used my entire life even with my parents as a child. I felt disloyal in doing so but so glad we did. Euan put Daisy on a plan that we religiously followed along with regular vet appointments and follow ups. I was very impressed with Euan calling us to check on Daisy's progress and this was even more impressive as over the Christmas holiday period. Daisy is now three months old and thriving! We have obviously put in a great deal of love and effort but Euans expertise has been gold! Now our regular vet. I would not hesitate in recommending Euan and his practice. Thank you

Although the nurses where very friendly and helpful. The vet there wrongly diagnosed my dog with having knee problems (one xray, two bouts of lazer therapy and $500 later). Upon seeking a second opinion they could not see any issues with the xray and it turned out that my dog's limp was resulting from a hip injury.

Euan and the staff at Northlands Animal Care Hospital have been an absolute godsend. Diva was brought into their office at a time when we thought there was no hope and that the end was near, but, with their help, positive outlook and encouragement Diva's health has been restored and we have the girl we love so dearly back. Without their help, we probably we wouldn't have Diva and for this we are very thankful! Thank you to everyone who has played a role in caring for Diva over the last couple months, it truly means everything.

We took Daisy to Euan as I had a feeling after two days with us something wasn't right. Although the nurses where very friendly and helpful. The vet there wrongly diagnosed my dog with having knee problems (one xray, two bouts of lazer therapy and $500 later). Upon seeking a second opinion they could not see any issues with the xray and it turned out that my dog's limp was resulting from a hip injury.
