We have been regulars for the past couple of years at Vet Ent Ferrymead, however we haven't had the greatest experience this month from a recent visit. Our dog required surgery - unfortunately communication was poor from the start around the details of the procedure required & the associated costs/quotes. We received one email with one amount, trusting the experts we decided to move ahead. We were not advised we would be required to pay extra to find out what it was that was removed. On the day of the surgery, I asked the Vet Nurse on pick up what they thought it was (i.e a lump, bump, was it sinister etc?) But I was immediately told by the Vet Nurse that we 'didnt ask for that, thats an extra $200 to find out. It left us wondering what we had just paid $900 for and why it was necessary - just that the Vet thought it should be removed. Levels of basic customer Services during pick up on surgery day was less than satisfactory. The Vet Nurse seemed flustered and rather unempathetic due to an emergency at the clinic. This is understandable, however it left us feeling a little unhappy due to a combination of also the following which took place : Follow up communication post surgery was also poor, no repeat appointments/reminders booked to remove stitches. I had to follow up myself and was told this needed to be 7 days post surgery. It ended up happening 9 days post surgery. Overall customer services and communication was unfortunately lacking for us. and I am disappointed to have to write this review as would rather focus on the positive :( Read Less
