Having been dealing with some ferals in the area have been relying on the likes of Outpawed.co.nz and Cats Protection League Wellington for help desexing the old timers and finding homes for all the offspring. Animal Health Centre have been good with a little advice and I buy most of the flea and worm treatments for this feral family from them.
Recently they have had a $9 voucher scheme run in conjunction with the local council to get your pet desexed. I have bought a few such vouchers for my friends and for the remaining wild cats.
The vet was awesome - ringing me back and saying as long as I can catch the last Black and White monster they are open to me dropping him (her?) off outside the busy times without booking in first.
(Mini Axe photographed at night prowling for food near my car is son, daughter-?- of Lorde Battle Axe pictured loving life now he is saved from feraldom life of digging through rubbish)
So - at this stage, am very pleased to be dealing with this vet. Not all vets joined the cheap desex scheme in the first place and this shows the character of the business to me! Read Less
