My cat Charcoal was desexed two days ago. Her surgery only cost me $50 'cause it was partly subsidised by a voluntary organisation. She had to go to a particular vet clinic to have it done. She hadn't had anything to eat or drink for over 24 hours following the procedure, so I phoned the vet clinic which did the surgery, told them what the problem was, and told them that I thought she should be seen urgently. They didn't have any available appointments. The person on the phone said she would try to fit me in and would call me back. THEY DIDN'T CALL! I'M NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT! I then bought her to my usual vet clinic, Central Vet Hospital! :) Her temperature was elevated. She was given subcutaneous fluids, buprenorphine (Temgesic) for pain, and an antibiotic injection. I was also given an antibiotic (Clavulox oral drops) to give her over the next few days. I feel more at ease now, though I do feel rather stressed she's unwell :S I would like to thank Central Vet Hospital for treating my cats over the years! I am very happy with the quality of service they provide, and I trust them fully with my cat's veterinary needs! :) Gerry Macridis WellingtonRead Less
