New to Northland. Needed a quality vet practice for my pet dog. Based on high scoring Google map reviews I singled out 3 practices. Kamo vet, kamo veterinary hospital and mill road vets. Based on the Very helpful and friendly staff I chose mill rd. Had an appointment same day with Dr Kevin. So impressed with all the staff I met. Prices are comparable or below the other 2 practices. Not my usual vet but I was staying at the beach and one of my cats had a weepy eye. Phoned them and went to see them. So friendly! Everyone was greeted as an old friend. Even the animals seemed pleased to be there.Read Less

Mill road vet clinic is amazing! Leanne and Monica had the very hard task of coming to my parents house to put to sleep our family member of nearly 18 years (Tiffany the pug). This was up there with one of the hardest days of our lives and they handled it with not only such professionalism but so much compassion too. Out of 10 I give Mill Road Vets 18.5!!! The team at Mill Road really care about your animals. I recently had surgery on my dog and they were fantastic keeping me informed every step of the way. The procedure did end up costing slightly more than the quoted amount but they let me know this would be case when they ran into complications and gave me several options as to what I wanted to do. They even let me visit the dog at 9.30pm at night as I was concerned following surgery which was done outside hours. Thanks Mill Road I will be telling everyone how amazing you all are! Read Less

By far the best vets in town. We've had a few worries with our dog and they have always handed her, and us (!), with care and professionalism even when these worries have been at weekends or after hours. If you choose these vets you can be assured your pets are in great hands. Read Less

Always had a wonderful service from all the vets at Mill Road. They take extreme care with all our pets, to the extent our dog gets so excited when she sees one vet in particular, she often wees herself! Wouldn't go anywhere else Read Less

I had a bad experience here many years ago, where the procedure for xrays for hip dysplasia ended up costing me more than it should have. Unfortunately they did not explain what they were going to do in a way that I could understand - either that or they made a mistake and did more than they said they would do - would never go here again. Also feels very clinical, not friendly at all.... unless you are a millionaire, then they treat you real nice. Read Less
