Extremely helpful & friendly staff. The site was easy to find and their prices are very competitive. We had 1 cat neutered and 1 cat spayed and both were done the same day, with lots of love and time to recuperate. Great service from a very busy practice. Rates are so reasonable. Dr Ross has great bedside manner with animals. They don't overcharge like other vets do. R850 for pet teeth cleaning as opposed to R2700 for anesthetic at other vets. Totally recommended. Read Less

The most amazing, compassionate vet practice. Have been taking all my animals here for years. Last night Dr Hahn helped my brother with a difficult stray - she was driving around and saw him battling with a very large St Bernard on the side of the road at 10pm. I do not believe their customer service is their strongest point but when I look back on all the animals they have saved, not only for me but many other people, I can only say that their animal service is the greatest in the world. Their passion is there for the animal to recover, obviously there is a cost they need to cover for what they do but when you take your pet there knowing your pet is in the greatest hands, price is not important, they understand that and I can 100% speak first hand of this. My Dachshund slipped two disks in his back a week before Christmas, I could not afford a surgery and they took him in for two to three weeks cage rest. My dog walked out of there (The cost at Blue Bush animal clinic while he was there was 30% cheaper than 1 visit to the Fourways Vet next to Pineslopes, plus they gave me a cage for him to rest in at home for another week, FREE of charge) My Pavement special puppy caught Canine Parvovirus (deadly virus) and on the same day I took him in another puppy was brought in for the same virus. Both of them walked out alive in just under a week. How crazy is that, against all odds. I do not believe that Blue Bush were lucky, I mean so many time you could count my pets coming out as 'lucky'. I believe they put nothing but love and care for the animals, all shapes and sizes, they treat them as we as the owner would wish to be treated. If you are an animal lover like me then you going to the right place. Forget about the area and think about your pet returning home to greater health. on Friday the 22nd of July 2016 at about 6:30 in the evening my 2 year old staffy mix Pekingese started shacking, foaming at the mouth and had an upset stomach, we called blue bush vet clinic to ask what we should do, first I was told that my dog had parvo, so we asked if we could rush our dog to them so that they could help us, we were then told that they close at seven on the dot!!! We begged for them just to stay open to help us as we had already left our home and were on the way with our dog to them. The lady then told me that they will not stay open for us and said goodbye, we turned around and headed for the closest vet but it was too late my dog passed away on the way to the second vet. our dog, a member of our family had been poisoned and I don€t know if they could have helped us but for people that claim to love animals they did not even try, maybe you should let people know that your love for animals is only between working hours!!!!!! we have been taking our dogs to blue bush since they were puppies, I have never in my life been so hurt and angry!! Sheilagh's deep love for animals and their welfare makes them her priority, not making humans happy. I had to bring in my cat twice (once for snuffles and another time for an abscess) and from the very moment she touched him I realised I was standing in the presence of a truly special woman - her practice runs on pennies, she even took my sister-in-law's elderly cat home with her when he was gravely ill!
