, I Don't agree with Mr Craig Franck on this review.. First of all Dr Steward Christie does know how to handle his own pratice, from the front reception to the sister and the ones that are working behind the doors, where we don't often see them.  My animals are with Eastern Veterinary 17 years.. And from past staff to the new ones, it's always heartbreaking if there is someone leaving.. They are like family to me.. and that's the only one Veterinary i am going to, even if it means for me, 30 minutes depends on traffic...  But to come back to the point....  The messages are always answered to, Some times late and not on time as you want it to be, but Dr Christie DOES always come back to you, and if time or conditions allow it he will take a call, and talk personally  with you.. As it happens to me  there on appointment , and a customer is calling, he will take that call.. The sister, only does what she has been training to do so, and to practice the "DISPENSING OF SCHEDULED MEDICATION as THE LAW Regulations...   Its not about the money the Sister wants to make, it's only for safety reasons. He sees how many animals a day? and some are without appointment, BUT he cares for animals..  for me to get repeat medication its to see the dr at least every 6months, so he can take a look at your animal kid, and see if the treatment whatsoever work or to put him on other medication.. were the animal can benefit from.   They take care of their customers and the petfurr kids,  That's the one and only thing that does matter to them, is to know how to be treated and treated with,  So from my point of view, and others WE only can speak the highest prays for Dr Sterward Christie and all his staff,  Thanks for taking such good care off your pet customers...and a well done good job, and for more to come.. Dr Stewart Christie albeit a good veterinary surgeon needs to take control of his practice and his staff. The reception staff are not at all useful or informed and on several occasions messages left in the morning are not conveyed to the afternoon staff. Lets not even start discussing the sister who is only concerned about making money and insisting on a consultation despite Dr Christie stating not necessary and to phone for follow-up / repeat medication. When you ask to speak to Dr Christie he is always too busy and he will be given a message to phone you back, well this never happens. Dr Christie's reputation is being seriously damaged by his reception and nursing staff who have no idea as to what customer service is and how the owners of animals should be treated.. The practice has been going backwards the past two years all thanks to staff members who are seemingly not trained to do their jobs. Read Less

A comapssionate vet who has an exceptional way with animals. Receptionists are tardy and rude if they don't like you or if you ask too many questions. Not well stocked but pricing is affordable. I have heard many good things about this Vet, but my experience was horribly different. I was lectured for being an improper pet parent because my dog was terrified and kept huddling in my arms. When he did examine my pet, he was very forceful and rough. My dog even soiled himself during the examination! I also take issue with all the cats that are walking around the consulting office. They seem to be his personal pets and they are wonderful and friendly, but I do not feel they should be in the examination roof with potentially ill pets. I know many people who laud Dr. Christy, but my experiences have been very difficult and unpleasant. Read Less

I have dealt with Eastern Veterinary Hospital on more than one occasion and found them to be very organised and friendly. They have a nice setup and parking is good. A few months ago I took a puppy there for treatment and was very happy with the special care that my dog received. Dr Stuart Christy is an amazing vet. My animals love him. They have never been scared to enter his rooms and my dogs haven't yelped once when being examined or even injected. Dr Christy is clearly working with animals because he loves them. He and his staff even take in stray kittens and have at least 12 running around at all times.
