Our young dog needed to be seen at night after being bitten by another dog. We were seen by Sharon, Rodney and Oswald. They treated him professionally, with such gentleness and compassion, and charged the necessary. If I were in the veterinary field, I would be proud of this team. We are very grateful that they were open and available to see this young patient. He was already traumatised, but they made his consultation and treatment seem like only a visit to a friendly place. Hunter first came to BVC in February 2022 with a twisted gut, Dr Imaan was very honest and straightforward, he might survive but he might also die. We opted risk the op and I'm very happy say that Hunter was soon back being his mischievous self. We were migrating and the Clinic gave us full support and always treated Hunter very well, making him feel safe and secure his various jags and checks. Sadly a few days before leaving Hunter took ill and we rushed him the Clinic. He was having a massive internal bleed and the Staff fought save him but soon realised that he was beyond help. We attended his final moments and held him as he slipped away as Dr Imaan put him to sleep. The sympathy, understanding, kindness and concern shown not only that day but on every visit made us feel that everything possible was done and that it was Hunter's time and he went surrounded by love, care and dignity. They even expedited his cremation so today his Ashes are with us Thank you All at BVC, you are a real credit yourselves and your profession. RIP Hunter Read Less

We thought my cat had an allergic reaction to a calming collar, and so while the vet was doing some blood tests, the lady at the front was researching the various side effects of this collar. At Rondebosch common my labrador collapsed and had a fit, thinking it may have been a reaction to something poisonous, I rushed him to your vet. I was not met with any immediacy, in fact the receptionists and vet were obnoxious and patronizing. Eventually my dog was seen by the nurses who were very friendly and helpful. Another vet saw me after they had dealt with my dog. They did a full blood work up, saying they would call me later that evening. Exactly one week later I have not received any calls, thank goodness my dog is okay. I was charged well over 2000 rand for questionable service without any promised follow up. Read Less

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: I have been to Belmont Vet on a number of after-hours occasions and found both the front of house, assistants, and vets to be amazing. They go above and beyond to assist. We thought my cat had an allergic reaction to a calming collar, and so while the vet was doing some blood tests, the lady at the front was researching the various side effects of this collar. Compared to when he visits my usual vet, my cat is calm and lets the vets and assistants handle him. Thank you to the Belmont Road Vet team. Read Less

Read Less
