There is a very old word not used much today & the word is Mensch, it is a Yiddish word that encompasses a lot of qualities in a person to name just a few:- A Mensch is a person who can be relied on to act with honour & integrity and this is what I received from the receptionist Tanya. I had to put my 16yr old dog to sleep, a very sad thing to have to do, & at my age I have had to do that quite a few times. It is always the same..... a heart breaking moment. Thank you Tanya. My beautiful, gentle, 15 year old cat received good care during her hospitalization and subsequent visits. Sadly she was euthanased at home in an uncaring manner. The vet's "helper" roughly handled my terrified cat, while the vet shaved her leg and then inserted a catheter in a vein, causing her to cry out in pain. Only then did I get to hold her for the final drug. No sedation was given, though I had enquired about it. I had expected a peaceful and compassionate end for my much loved pet, but instead, besides coming to terms with my loss, the procedure has left me still traumatised. Hope these comments will ensure a more humane way of euthanasia in the future. Read Less
