I do not recommend this vet - we have now lost both our dogs who had been patients of theirs all their life (2.5yrs) till recently. Recurring upset tummies, pale gums, pica, weight loss and red eyes were all just treated with a few antibiotics, eye drops or a deworming tablet and R400 consult fee for a 5 minute quick check and off they move on to the next patient. No blood smear done or any concern what the cause might be - just treated the symptoms. Frustrated I moved to another vet who immediately felt something was seriously wrong - did a blood smear and picked up Ehrlichia that had been passed on by the mother and had now reached critical. R40k in vet bills with the best specialists we could get but it was just too late, we lost both our boys in the last 3 weeks.
In hindsight I really should have moved to another vet after they botched up my one pup’s neutering. At 6 months old he underwent a cryptorchid surgery as his testicles had not moved into place, after the surgery they claimed that he actually didn’t have testicles at all. 6 months later a testicle appeared, he went in to be neutered again, I was charged for a second cryptorchid surgery as one testicle was still in the abdomen because the ligaments to move it into place had been removed in the first surgery, there were no apologies for my dog having to go through the stress of another invasive surgery due to their negligence.

Our doggy had become ill over the past few months. The staff were very knowledgeable and gave us the best opinion on what to be done and how to care for her. Unfortunately, we had to put her down recently, due to her illness. Each staff member showed great empathy and made a very difficult experience slightly bearable. I am very grateful to them for the empathy they showed to us, and for the love they gave our baby.

Friendly knowledgeable team with a passion for what they do. Decisive in their actions and diagnosis with open honest communication. The team is efficient, reliable and sensitive to emotions. Facilities are wonderful, clean, modern well planned space. Overnight facilities is well executed in that it is safe and secure with proper kennels that have amble space for all breed types. Highly recommended!

Two little perfectly healthy chihauhaus were going to be euthanased by Aimee on Saturday 5th November .I offered them a good home and they are now an integrated part of my family . Kiki van Loggenbrrg is an amazing compassionate vet with all my pets .I have even adopted two kittens born in du Noon Tableview.I obtained through Leaps foundation . Kiki helps Leap foundation by sterilizing the kittens and giving their first injection at a special rate for Leap Foundation and keeps a close eye on them growing up . Kiki vetinary rooms are homely with her pets taking first option on furniture for seating ..lol Need I sing her praises more .We are blessed to her in our community .

There are many vet clinics in the area, but none of them can be compared to Hakuna Matata. Warm, friendly, and dedicated team - of both the human and animal variety!

We switched to Hakuna Matata when they opened because they were closer to where we lived - but we have had such great experiences since that we wouldn't dream of going anywhere else now! Our pets feel welcome and spoilt, and the veterinarian is compassionate and well-informed. Also affordable and specials are often on the go (for ex. flea goodies).

When I move to Bloubergsands I looked for a new vet for my cat. I am glad I tried Hakuna Matata as I received great service at a reasonable price. Penny, my cat, also received great service and is definitely not scared to go to the vet. I would recommend Hakuna Matata Vet Clinic to everyone.
