Took my dog to enquire about grooming. The staff, specifically the cutting lady, were horrible. Unprofessional, rude and pathetically unhelpful. This is my second experience with the groomers at Petworld and I will never go back. If that's how they treat people, cant imagine what they're like with our pets.

Took our puppy for a clean and trim. This is how she came back. The manager was to busy to help on the day. When we called the next day they said we cant help you now. When we finally spoke they said we can shave all her hair in winter. If you cant do your job correctly why should our dog suffer. We never got any refund or complementary wash or even a sorry. Very 😢

My daughter was devastated and poor Sapphire was killed. Management have a lot to answer for putting unqualified staff in charge of delicate procedures.

My mom took my budgies in to get their wings clipped and she came home with one of my budgies replaced. We confronted the emplyees and they all lied to us and contined aledging that the bird was the same one we came in with. They we very deceptive and the woman who killed him didnt apologize and simply didnt show her face again. After 20 mins back and forth the manager came clean and they offered us a new budgie, no refund and they seemed to not care at all. DONT SUPPORT THIS STORE. They dont care for their animals. (wish i could give 0 stars)

The staff is rude and the manager actually started raising her voice at me after I insisted on paying the price the item was marked. Two staff members couldn't even figure out the correct price at the shelf. The items are marked incorrect, cleaner gets blamed and the customer feel like the person in the wrong. Will never go there again and do not recommend it. Much better pet shops around.

I adore the selection at pet world it is the only place I can find interesting fun things to spoil my furries with but I purchases a hairless rat from them yesterday due to the terrible conditions he was in (I understand you shouldn't support this but I couldn't leave him there) for R600 I got a poor baby that had been scratched all over his body including cuts with dried blood on his face and was left in a cage alone- those who know rats know that this is like putting a human in solitary confinement. It's just not right. The staff were not friendly and could not care less even picking him up by his tail. Very dissapointed

Absolutely horrified. If I could give 0 stars, trust me, I would! Visited petworld in hopes of finding a Dumbo eared rat- which I did find. My partner pointed out that most of the males they had looked to be infected as their tails were crusted in a rust colour and they seemed lifeless. Still, we got a boy thinking we could nurse him to health. Two weeks later, he still has not eaten anything and is now literally bones. We have resorted to force feeding him as we have no other option. Their staff seem to know jack-squat about the animals they look after! The staff also seem to be more interested in their own affairs than with helping clients. Will never EVER go there again! We were also told that they would put down a specific rat which we RESCUED if it didn't get sold. She was very withdrawn when we got her but she has been nursed back to health with lots of love and care. Their prices are overpriced as well, all in all this is a horrible petshop.

The staff is rude and the manager actually started raising her voice at me after I insisted on paying the price the item was marked. Massive store with loads of variety. From snakes to fish, birds, rabbits etc they seem to have everything. You also get 5% of your purchase back in a coupon for your next purchase. Great store.

I usually go here to the fish section, where only one employee is helpful and very knowledgeable in his field, but he's not always there because he's also the stores aquarium specialist, other than the really good fish experience if I want to find or get anything from any other department no one is willing to help, I had to stand and wait for an employee to finish his text message before he would help me. Don't go to this store unless you need fish things or something you allready have knowledge about

Staff don't help you at all. They stand around and chat with each other or busy on their phones.
Prices are extremely high...go to Mr.Price Home in N1 City and buy the same dog bed for a quarter of the price.

Absolutely horrified. If I could give 0 stars, trust me, I would! Visited petworld in hopes of finding a Dumbo eared rat- which I did find. My partner pointed out that most of the males they had looked to be infected as their tails were crusted in a rust colour and they seemed lifeless. Still, we got a boy thinking we could nurse him to health. Two weeks later, he still has not eaten anything and is now literally bones. We have resorted to force feeding him as we have no other option. Their staff seem to know jack-squat about the animals they look after! The staff also seem to be more interested in their own affairs than with helping clients. Will never EVER go there again! We were also told that they would put down a specific rat which we RESCUED if it didn't get sold. She was very withdrawn when we got her but she has been nursed back to health with lots of love and care. Their prices are overpriced as well, all in all this is a horrible petshop.

Service was really good and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Took my golden cocker spaniel for some grooming and she looked like a show dog when they were done.
