I posted this review on Steenberg Veterinary Clinic's Facebook page on September 25th,2020: Steenberg Veterinary Clinic can improve by being less racist. My brother and I went to the clinic today and according to staff we are considered as welfare and I was told if I had the intellectual knowledge I would understand why they do not assist people considered as welfare on weekends and only during week days. None of this was ever communicated to us over the years as I have rescheduled bookings so many times and this over weekends. Their staff messed up our booking for my dog to get her vaccination this weekend. We are also judged by the clothes we wear according to one of the staff member's. So according to her we looked like private and not welfare. So how does welfare people look? We were blamed for not stating the area we live in yet this question was never asked and despite this all our information was on their system which they never bothered to check when we called in at first. Yesterday was Heritage day and if this is considered as Heritage then I don't know what is! To-date I've received no feedback even though I was told that the matter will be investigated and I will receive feedback asap! This is how "Welfare" people are treated. It's shameful and disgusting! I don't know what your business stand for but People are People and Animals are Animals doesn't matter where they come from! Read Less

We have been taking our 5 Yorkshire Terriers here for 5 years and have had nothing but outstanding care for our fur kids. Always understanding, always listen to what we say, and always patient enough to answer a million questions. They all understand what it is to be a pet "owner" and invest themselves in the wellbeing of our dogs. Having recently relocated to the UK Ross handled all the pet passport procedures and our dogs arrived safely. Exceptional experience with Steenberg and very sad to say goodbye. Read Less

Extremely disappointed with this vet who has forgotten that their primary responsibility is to assist animals. After finding an abandoned small Maltese beside the road today, I stopped at this vet to ask for assistance and to keep him for a few hours so that I could go to my scheduled meeting. This was refused because "they have high paying clients and will be sued if anything happens to their pets due to unsanitary conditions brought in by a street dog". This was not a street dog. This was a lost or abandoned pet in need of medical attention. Theirs was not a cramped little cubicle. It was a sizable veterinary clinic with enough space to isolate a desperate case and enough disinfectant and sterilisation equipment to prevent cross-contamination. Asked if they at least had something to eat for this starving animal (as in 'what food should a clearly emaciated dog in your medical opinion be given?') the first response was that they don't give food to street dogs. Standing in a business suit with a bleeding hand where the scared little guy had bitten me, I could not believe my ears. When did vets start to value their bottom line and their (assumed) posh reputation more than helping a distressed animal in need? So, according to them this is someone else's problem. Let the SPCA deal with it because we have more important things to do. We only deal with high-end cases. Well, this little guy might have strayed from a high-end home. Or he might have been abandoned from a high end home. But what does that matter? He needed help and was denied it because he didn't fit in with their €image€. I will never set foot in this clinic again and will make sure no one that I know does ether. Highly, highly NOT recommended. Instead, shame on them. PS I finally took him to Tah Kenridge where they immediately took care of him, checked if he was injured and treated him with the loving care that he needed, and they didn't charge a cent for it. Then Honnepote/DoggyPaws Salon took him in and cleaned him up with great tenderness and care. THAT is how things are done. Guess who will be getting all the good publicity that I can manage?
