If I had listened to Dr Cotton my cat could have died of feline hapatic lipidosis. She was unable to diagnose the disease from tell tale signs, and didn't even warn me that it could be an option. Instead I was told my cat could have pancreatic cancer. She failed to perform the most basic physical exam when I first took him in. She didn't even take his temperature, but charged me for a consultation. There was then a complete breakdown of relationship between myself and this vet after I enquired what tests she would be doing on my cat as I am an educated person and had been looking on the internet for what his symptoms might mean. In response she told me that if I want to look on the internet I must treat my cat myself. It was all downhill from there. They charged me thousands of rands and no vet from Vetpoint ever called to give me a diagnosis of what was wrong with my cat.
