I received my Jessie girls ashes today. A week ago I had to make the 💔decision to let her go after she contracted meningitis. It still feels so unreal. I can't thank Dr Strydom enough for everything he did to try treat her. To the Sr and Dr Delport thank you for being there with me as my little Jessie left us. Thank you to Dr Blignaut for treating Jessie earlier the week too. I think it came as a shock to all. The staff (all) at George animal hospital are all amazing. We arrived in George 2018 joining their facility and will remain with them as long as we reside here. Thank you to you all for always being amazing with Jessie and her brother Junior. With us being in the process of immigration, their kindness, help and support to always go above and beyond has been commendable and absolutely appreciated during a difficult time. Larnel and Dr Blignaut have not only treated Whiskey with extra support and attention, but have been incredibly helpful with all the details and small things to ensure he is ready for his international move. George animal hospital I will most definately recommend. ALL the staff are so friendly and helpful, from reception, the nurse, the Dr's and the assistants helping with the pets are amazing too. Its been a hectic 2 months. Had Junior looked at by Dr Truter for an odd rash on his body and feet. A biopsy later, Dr let know it's an allergy possibly but thank goodness nothing life threatening. Gave advice and some meds and all has cleared. Last week Friday was chaos. Jessie got into the beddings and a stick broke off getting stuck in her pallet. I honestly thought I was going to have a heart attack. Reception calmly assisted and said they will fit me in and I must bring her. On arrival they allowed me to take Jessie in. The nurse had a look with the assistance of John and Reagan, after which Dr Strydom checked in on Jessie. A quick sedation and removal of the stick and we could go.....but it wasn't over. Saturday morning Jessie couldn't stand on her foot properly. Concerned it was broken or fractured, I called the emergency number at the crack of dawn. Dr Blignaut answered with a 'smile' and suggested I bring her in. He met me at the vet, assessed her walking and suggested an anti-inflammatory. Said it was most likely a ligament that got hurt the day before. Told me I could pay later and to let him know if any concerns.
