Cape Animal Fertility Clinic is a specialized veterinary clinic focusing on the specific needs of breeders from breeding to whelping and young puppy care.
All canine reproduction services are offered including frozen semen artificial inseminations, chilled semen monitoring and insemination, as well as fresh semen insemination. Dogs and bitches with reproduction problems and breeders can be assisted with timing natural matings. We also freeze semen as well as offer semen storage facilities for breeders. We assist with importation and exportation of frozen semen to and from the country.
A significant part of our service includes the monitoring of bitches as they are about to whelp, and assistance with caesarian sections.
We strive to serve dog breeders by focusing on their special needs. Every puppy is considered valuable and assistance is given in taking care of weak or sick puppies. We also monitor the maternal antibodies of bitches to determine immunity levels in the pups, and vaccinate, deworm and microchip puppies at competitive prices.
Equine reproduction services are also available including scanning for pregnancy and breeding, artificial insemination with frozen, chilled or fresh semen. We also train stallions onto the phantom, collect and process semen for cooling and delivery to other parts of the country, and freeze semen. Embryo transfer is also offered to clients.
Breeding services are offered mainly for dogs, horses and but also occasionally other species.
We are situated on a lovely small holding in Klapmuts, Animal Zone, just off the N1 between Stellenbosch and Wellington, in the Western Cape.
