Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Liz the vet who has worked with me throughout this winter with my old pony. She was so helpful and thorough and very patient and even when we called she made time to talk things through with us. but sadly age was not on Puffins side so we decided to peacefully call it a day with her where again Liz was there and was caring, gentle and made the whole horrible day easier for us she showed true love and compassion to both puffin and our whole family who was all there to say their goodbyes and were all upset. We have been with Robson for around 5 years. They have always been great. Recently our 9 week old puppy (we had only had him 5 days) Chief became seriously ill over the Christmas period. The staff there were amazing, within hours they told us he needed an operation and they always kept us updated on his condition. I know it was touch and go at one point but I honestly couldn't thank the vets, nurses and carers there. We always felt they looked after Chief, I even think he was sad to leave them when we collected him after 9 days with a clean bill of health! Read Less

Had my first and last experience with the laurencekirk branch today. I explained my dog was in a lot of pain due to a skin allergy in his ear which he has suffered before with once due to his breed, I was asked if he had previously had any issues. I informed the vet he has never had any issues with anyone or to any other vets from a pup. We had a figure of 8 lead on just in case as the vet told me ears are sensitive, she must have put the instrument too far down his ear and h...e reacted. She then went to get a muzzle and decide to pin him in a corner to put this on, a dog that has already been hurt and is now scared (which to me should never be done!)so he growled at her. The vet proceeded to throw her instrument on the table with a muzzle and told me my dog was a disgrace and she would be embarrassed/disgusted-if her dog acted like that. And that he was a danger to everyone around him especially children. I kindly asked her to not ‘brand’ my dog due to a one off incident due to the amount of pain he was in. She told me I should take professional advice next time, which I had to reply I had never said not to put a muzzle on him if that is what made her comfortable but all I was asked if there had been any previous incidents - which there never has been. I left in tears due to not only the way I was spoken to but to the utter hurtful way In which my dog was branded! I’ve been with the portlethen branch since Max was a pup. He is now 5 and we have 2 huskies now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Fab staff, especially Mary and service is impeccable. Would totally recommend. Xx Read Less

The team have been fantastic with our 13 year old dog Kobi. He had to have surgery on a tumour and the whole team have been very supportive and helped us through it really well. They looked after Kobi while he had to stay in after his operation as well. Read Less
