Our little dog, having had sudden problems with eating,we were advised that he needed FIVE teeth extracted. A brave stoic little chap he appeared to recover well,albeit suddenly became what we assumed to be very disobedient. His hearing has always been so acute,that,he could hear a walker at the very top of our road. Over the months we made allowances for him,until we were so alarmed with his behaviour & assumed that he may be in need of having his ears syringed On taking him back to the vet imagine our heartache to be told that not only is he totally deaf, but also almost blind.With not indication of eye or ear problems prior to the teeth extraction,we learnt (from another source) that teeth extraction can result in the loss of these two senses. We feel aggrieved that we should have been advised of this in the first instance,in which case we would NEVER have put our treasured dog through such a devastating ordeal.We have witnessed an athletic,energetic full-of- the -joys -of -life pet retreat into a sad,frightened little pet. Albeit we put all of our faith & trust into Eddie's vet,when ringing up for sympathetic advise I received a cold dismissal.A sad dog,devastated owners & a cold hearted response. Read Less

We moved to Ashman Jones a year ago having become increasingly dissatisfied with our previous vets who simply could not cope with our terribly scared and nervous Collie. They have been wonderful both with him and our other dogs who are all fine with going to the vets! We are never pushed treatments, we always see the same vets and their level of service and personal care is second to none. I would thoroughly recommend them as the only vets to see in Bath. We've been taking our two rabbits here for several years rather than our local vets as a friend recommended them. They've been fantastic, my 8 year old rabbit had difficulty breathing one afternoon and they fitted us in, with only 45 mins until closing time (which meant we didn't have to pay an out of hours charge). She was a very ill rabbit (E.Cunniculi and pnemonia) but with the medicine they perscribed and lots of care at home she pulled through. Read Less

Rating zero. This vets is utter rubbish n I wouldn't advise anyone to take they're pet there. An APPARANTLY qualified vet diagnosed my guinea pig as having a broken leg when really his teeth were broken . What kind of vet looks at a guinea pigs teeth and says there fine when they are hanging off! Then tried to rip us off by charging us for unnecessary medicine and trying to get us booked for ludicrously expensive xrays when there was absolutely nothing wrong with his leg. Furthermore they didn't want to resolve the misdiagnosis n were incredibly rude!Read Less

I have recommended Ashman Jones to many people because they are simply the best vets I have ever known - and I have had pets for 40 years. Other vets have been uncaring to both animal and owner,added to which (I only found out after) they have advised expensive and unnecessary treatments -" in it for the money" as it were.How can you trust such people? Ashman Jones, on the other hand,have my total trust and respect. I value them for their medical knowledge and diagnosis, the clear and honest way they explain things,their care for both animal and owner,and the fairness of their charges.Their back up team is excellent too. Louis has been with Ashman Jones for over 3 years. Just recently he had to have a small operation - which I got very upset about and can't thank the staff for there love and support on that day. Thank fully he is fit and well and running around like Springers do and just about to set off for France again. Keep up the excellent work!!!
