We had three kittens and one of them stopped growing and lost her vitality and willingness to go outside, had loose stool and stopped growing. Although the vets were friendly and tried to help, I spend over £600 on blood and stool tests, without a convincing solution to heel her. No solution that was advised by this practice worked. I asked about changing her diet and introducing raw food and was told that raw was dangerous. She was fading away and I was willing to try anything. In the end I found another vet who recommended to put her on a 100% raw meat diet. It took a while to move her over but now she is a completely different cat: growing, eating, jumping about, no more diarrhea or smells. I have put the other two on 100% raw too and they are now also looking even more healthy than before. I bought a little book: "Honey's Natural Feeding Handbook for Dogs" (applies to cats too) which describes why most vets may not know much about raw feeding or may be biased against it. It's a good little book I'd recommend to all dog and cat owners and also to vets. There is definitely a need for a vet specialised on raw food in Bristol, and perhaps also a need for a paradigm shift in the vet industry. Read Less

We came home and our dog Sasha was unable to get off the sofa, not eating and very quiet which is unheard of in our usual bouncy cocker spaniel. Taking your pet to the vets is never nice, and after having some negative experiences at chain veterinary clinics (pets at home) we tried this clinic on a recommendation. We received a helpful, friendly service from staff who are clearly both passionate about and caring of the animals they treat, and Mr Sawkins (the vet we saw) made us feel valued and put us at ease, despite the situation. The 'drop in' style clinic is quite convenient, with morning, afternoon and evening slots, and I will be recommending this clinic to my friends and family. Read Less
