I went here out of hours with my Bulldog puppy as it is recommended by my usual vet. The vet nurse that met us was very unfriendly and seemed put out that we were there. She rolled her eyes at a lot ...
I went here out of hours with my Bulldog puppy as it is recommended by my usual vet. The vet nurse that met us was very unfriendly and seemed put out that we were there. She rolled her eyes at a lot of what I said and even told me off for letting my puppy roam around (there was no one else there!). She made negative comments about the breed saying that most bulldogs cannot breathe or walk properly which I thought was insensitive given I was there worried about my pup. If she is going to work in a vet's practice then she should be accepting of all breeds and not pass judgment. The vet, however, was lovely and thorough. She was kind and reassuring. I thought the fees were fair for out of hours. Unfortunately I would be reluctant to visit again because of the nurse's behaviour.

Every time I have phoned, the staff have been incredibly helpful and patient. I can always trust them. They are very friendly and always go the extra mile. Dr Emily Gover has been absolutely fantastic and is always so patient and helpful. She always listens with great care to what you have to say and I really believe that makes a great difference in the service provided. It really does mean a lot when your pet means everything to you! Thank you very much Vale Vets, Portishead. I would definitely recommend.

I called early on a Saturday morning and spoke to Hilary. I explained why I was in need of an appointment asap and she was extremely polite and accommodating. I saw vet Pippa who was lovely, professional and sympathetic. Also, the bill was a lot less than we paid at our previous vets in Whitchurch for exactly the same situation. Would recommend 100%!

Absolutely horrendous amount of care from a few staff members the place was filthy and dirty! Pets food being left on the side for two days and blankets with urine on left in there cages. I have spoke to many of people about my veiw of this vets and they have all agreed and had or known of somebody that have had a terrible experience. Please do not make a massive regret like we did and use this place!

The receptionists are so friendly and helpful, and the vets and nurses have always given my hound the concerned attention that he deserves. Sean the dog can't walk past without trying to go in - so he clearly agrees! So blessed to have them on our doorstep. Thankyou so much.

a vets number 1 priority should be an animals care not how much we can charge people on bank holidays and fleece them . the staffs attitude is couldnt care less . these people should realise that without our custom they would not be in a job which as far as im concerned it wouldnt be a bad thing.its a marmite thing you like them or you loathe them and after my experience im the latter.other vets are available do your homework and dont go for the nearest just for convenience sake it doesnt always pay.

I have only been with Vale for a couple of years since moving to the area, but I am already a big fan! Unfortunately in our time I have suffered a couple of tragedies and Vale was sympathetic, compassionate and highly professional in these sad times. I really felt like I was being treated like a *real person* and not just another invoice.
Since then I have visited on several occasions for minor treatments and every time I have been thoroughly impressed with the level of professionalism that Vale continues to provide as well as the constant good advice from friendly people that really engage with you and don't just treat you like just another 'worried pet-mum'!
Very highly recommended to anyone living in the Pill/Portishead/Clevedon area who is looking for a new surgery for their animals.

She rolled her eyes at a lot of what I said and even told me off for letting my puppy roam around (there was no one else there!). I have only been with Vale for a couple of years since moving to the area, but I am already a big fan! Unfortunately in our time I have suffered a couple of tragedies and Vale was sympathetic, compassionate and highly professional in these sad times. I really felt like I was being treated like a *real person* and not just another invoice.
