I bring my dog to Dalblair Vets to see the chiropractor, but it is not my usual practice (I live 30 miles away) Traveling to the last appointment, my dog became very distressed on the train and I was very concerned about our journey home. They fit us in for an appointment with a vet immediately, my dog was given a though examination and was prescribed a sedative so we could make the journey home. They then allowed us to wait in a private room for the chiropractor appointment to avoid further stress for my dog (and me!) Very friendly and professional service. Read Less

My 2 cats have both had their health issues- Hobbes has had to have major hip surgery to help him have a normal life and Calvin has an ongoing skin problem that Dalblair have helped with- currently he is doing really well. I've entrusted the care of my cats to Dalblair from day one and I wouldn't consider any other vets. Although I live in Glasgow the distance is irrelevant as I know they are both well cared for and treated as family. Read Less

Fantastic vets, the service is always very personal. Always feel my dogs are in safe hands when they visit. Love the fact that it isn't always a case of find the most expensive treatment but really do what is best for the animal. Even when we had to let one dog go the staff couldn't have been nicer, letting me stay in one of the consulting rooms on my own whilst they investigated what was wrong. When there was no hope for the wee soul she was brought back so I could be with her when she died. The consideration for animal and owner is exceptional. Read Less

I would like to thank the team at Dalblair, especially Carol and John, for their excellent organisation of the euthanasia of my Dog Bruno. I had originally booked to come to the surgery, but as he couldn't walk anymore, I had to ask for a home visit. The receptionist was very understanding and then Carol phoned and arranged for a vet to come to us asap. She explained the process and the cost involved. Then I got a phone call to say that the vet was on his way. When John arrived at our house he knew exactly the history of Bruno and explained again what was going to happen. He gave us time to say goodbye and the opportunity to be with Bruno on our own if we wished. Although a very sad occasion, the professionalism and dignity by all involved helped us cope with the process much better. Read Less

Thank you to all at Dalblair Vets in Prestwick and Ayr for looking after my wee boy GUS for the last 4 years and in particular a big thank you to Stuart Jefferson who really was Gus's vet! GUS came to us as a rescue just over 4 years ago and with a number of issues which Dalblair vets constantly gave us advice and treatments for. Sadly two weeks ago My precious wee boy GUS was put to sleep and it's taken me two weeks to be strong enough to write this, I am totally lost without him, the house is so empty. So if there are any Westies that cross your path that need a new forever home or a foster home then please get in touch. Keep up the good work Dalblair! Read Less
