Wouldn't hesitate to recommend MBM. This rating is based on 12+ years and approximately 30 + visits to the Mauchline branch over that period. The majority of the time for ‘routine' visits the service had always been good. However, on occasions when matters got complicated or things had gone wrong with our dog the advice provided had been exceptional. In the latter stages of his life there had been a couple of complex operations (removing a tumour from a difficult area), and other difficult to detect problems which were resolved and/or managed successfully. Costs had always been explained up front and were fair value for the advice, effort and excellent service provided. More importantly I've grown to trust their judgement and have always had the impression that making money is secondary to caring for the animals - they have never struck me as being greedy or trying to sell unnecessary treatments/services. I was in the unfortunate position a couple of weeks ago of having our dog put to sleep and for their part, I thought the practice handled a difficult situation exceptionally well. Sending a card in the post a few days after it happened was a really nice and unexpected gesture. It’s not the closest vet to where we live, but in my view definitely worth the journey. Read Less
