Extremely friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable staff from front of house to Sarah our Vet. We have had a really positive experience with our Pup today while having her vaccination and Sarah was very patient with us while she answered our questions as new puppy parents. The waiting area is very clean and spacious and we look forward to our regular visits in collecting worming/flea treatments through the health club they offer which is extremely good value for money. Thank you for the excellent referred dental care given this Wednesday to our rescue dog. Having all four damaged canines treated and root canal filled has clearly made her little world a whole lot nicer to be in. She spent the whole of yesterday walking round repeatedly picking up her toys with her teeth and looking delightfully surprised that to do so no longer hurt. We have only actually been once with our new kitten but are already so happy/impressed with the staff here and the general atmosphere. It’s brilliant that they have separate cat/rabbit waiting areas. They looked after our baby very well but what really stood out is when our kitten had an accident when we getting in the car and covered himself in runny poop they took him back in and gave him a little bath, gave us some tissue and helped get him all sorted. We are first time cat owners and didn’t have a clue what to do so we are so thankful for the help, special mention of the lovely male that was on reception that helped us and recommended cat toys for us that his cat likes! I’ve only just started using this vet and so far so good, lovely staff, free parking, easy to get to, very clean and vets that seem to really care about your animals. The only down side is what they charge, I have been living abroad for the past 4 years and oh my it’s a shock paying uk prices again. Would recommend will definitely recommend. Read Less

Absolutely amazing - we changed to Acorn after having had a bad experience with another local vet. Our 2 year old Weimaraner had become scared of going to the vet but today he went for his yearly booster and we cannot thank Nia enough - we even ended up out in the garden and after a packet of treats and cuddles he had his jab - no need for any muzzle or being taken away from us. Please DO NOT register your pets here. As lovely as the reception girls are and the vets that show so much care for your pet, that's not enough when you lose a pet and they jump on you with a debts collector letter before even giving you a bill. They also hold your pets ashes for ransom ( even though I paid for her cremation) if you can't pay the bill off when they ask for it. I'm absolutely disgusted by the way I was spoken to by the accounts team a vile women called Claire has not one ounce of compassion also a clueless boy called Paul likes to hang up on you without giving you a reasonable explanation as to why they think it's ok to not send you a bill but send you straight to the debt collector. They also had the audacity to ask me to find another vets ..... that's about the only thing that made sense in all of this ! I strongly advise not registering any of your pets here as they seem to only care about money !!!!Read Less

I have been with Acorn House since I first got my two little cats when they were just 6 weeks old and I was there again yesterday when one of my babies got put to sleep. It was very sudden and very unexpected but the staff at Acorn's were fantastic. Especially Sarah who was so caring and kind and looked after Tokio so well in her final hours. It was devastating to lose my little Tokio but Sarah made the very hard day and the very hard decision a bit easier because I could see how well she looked after my Tokio. I will definitely be sticking with Acorn's and I'll be requesting to see Sarah for any issues I have with my other cat. Read Less

Acorn House have been treating my beautiful cat Parker for cancer. He has had to have weekly chemo trips and all the staff and his vet Katharine look after him so well he doesn't even mind his trips there. I'm a neurotic mum of two 19 year old moggies who I love to bits. I've been with Acorn for a number of years through various ops and mishaps and now ongoing treatments for kidney disease and inflammatory bowel. Acorn staff are all so kind and caring. Went Wednesday with cat princess who we have/had for 13 years,she was diagnosed with a tumour under her tongue, she wasn't eating, grooming, advised that antibiotics would prove a short term option,rang yesterday and she was put down as health/condition deterioted, I felt that a bit more empathy could have been shown towards the cat,very upset as she as passed buried her in the garden,just trust that acorn house was the correct one,john wrench. The past couple of days has been a very troubling rolercoaster as our dog max has been battling a very sudden complicated illness. Added to this we are currently out of the country. The level of care and compassion afforded to our beloved k9 has been incredible from his admission at 1am Monday morning to his devestating final breath on Tuesday, the tireless team showed him every ounce of love, affection and attention we so painfully could not! Despite the 7000 miles and time difference they kept us always upto date and included in decision making. Although excrutiating for all involved we were comforted to know he could not have been anywhere better or have been given any more opportunity to overcome his issues. I love Acorn. I have had my animals registered with them over 14 years now and I cannot fault them in any way. The care and compassion they show when your animal is ill is outstanding and will always do their best to help. I had to have my gorgeous car PTS last year and they were so sympathetic and kind even giving us a hug on leaving.
