Say my cat Jazz was recently hit by a car. The most amazing, kind hearted couple found her and rushed her to moor cottage. The couple called ahead and on arrival the vets were waiting outside. They did everything they could but unfortunately Jazz was gone. We aren't registered with them, once we got in contact they gave us no charges, the lady on the phone was amazing as she confirmed the microchip did belong to jazz while I broke down on the phone. I moved to Bracknell in early 2015 and registered with another vets slightly closer to my home. My cat had a few problems having moved several miles from her home of 10 years and was losing weight and not eating well, but I really wasn't happy with how they dealt her. It was sloppy and impersonal. Then I was recommended MCVH and I'm so glad I changed vets. They have been SO much nicer and so thorough with testing and treating Maddy for her issues and weight loss. They've explained everything clearly and also advised on insurance. They have such genuine & caring staff/vets and I'm so grateful for their reassuring manner and great service. I joined Moor Cottage in February as I had to have my 22 year old cat put to sleep. I was booked in with vet Roberta and was so pleased, especially after seeing how fond she was of older cats. She was incredibly kind and patient and let me hold my dear Zag until she went. There was no rush to hand Zag over afterwards and Roberta patiently sat and comforted me whilst I sobbed and cuddled Zag. The receptionists were lovely too and there was no need to hang around after as they kindly said they would post my bill to me. A week or so after, I received a lovely hand-written card from Roberta offering her condolences, which I thought was a really nice touch. Now I have a new kitten, and a puppy (!) and have been equally as happy with the different vets we have seen to start them off with jabs, wormers etc. I could not fault the staff here and am so happy to have found a vets that actually seem to care not only about the pets, but also about their owners. If I am ever asked to recommend a vets then Moor Cottage will be the top of the list! Read Less

Over the past ten years all of our pets have visited this wonderful veterinary hospital for treatment. We have always been impressed that all of our pets are happy to walk through the doors and comfortable while they wait to be seen. Have only recently joined this Vets, after coming here we have been highly impressed with the friendliness and welcoming approach they have given, genuinely interested in the dogs, we have 2 greyhounds Ace and Polly.  Today they went the extra mile as on our way to have there boosters we got a flat tyre, they was so helpful let us sit in the waiting room offered us cups of tea and gave our dogs beds to lie on while we waited for breakdown service to change tyre on our car.  Would heighly commend this Vet, best we have we ever been to. All staff are extremely friendly, even when you ask 1000 questions each visit! Kate, I believe she is a Nurse, even called up another vet to see how my Rabbit was doing after his surgery. They always remember your pets name and this really impresses me. Each time they always have appointments available that work around you and are able to take in last minute appointments. The Rabbit VIP program is amazing and I couldnt praise this vets enough.Read Less

I have used Moor Cottage many times over the last 15 years and found them to be good but very expensive. I phone today to ask them how much it would cost for an operation on my cat. I have already taken my cats to another vet and they told me it needed a tooth taken out. But moor cottage would not give me any prices. They want me to pay 37.50 just to look at the cat and see what needs doing. Most other vets seem to charge about 20-25 for this and seem to be able to give me a price.Drop your prices!!! Read Less

My Mum and Dad have been going to this vet for about 14 years. They have helped us with Oliver (cat), Felix (cat), Henry (dog), Doris (chicken), Pheobe (cat), Tabitha (cat) and Rosie (cat) over the years and being such animal lovers that we are they alway are sensitive. We have even called them up in the middle of the night with an injured bird that one of the cats have brought in and they never seem phased or troubled by this.They can be expensive if you don't have pet insurance but you know that your animal is being looked after.There is a nice little car park outside so it's not not traumatic getting your animal there and they have really helpful reception staff.Thank you Moor Cottage!
