We had to put our wonderful Labrador to sleep this evening and I just what we to express my gratitude and thankfulness towards the vet that we had helping us to administer the anaesthetic. I stopped using Pines years ago now, over their charging system. I felt I was very unduly over charged more than once. I took my old Dalmatian in for her Cartrophen injection, (excellent for treating arthritis in dogs. Highly recommend) I took her for the £15.50 jab with the nurse, she was very polite and chatty about her, feeling her as she chatted. I thought she was just being kind to an 'old girl'. She gave her the jab, we were in there about 2 minutes, when I went to pay, I was billed for a consultation too! It was never requested or what she was booked in for. The nurse at no point asked if I wanted one, or stated that's what she was doing. I paid it angrily, but was stupid enough to get caught for the same trick a second time. I paid for the injection only & have never used them since. Meeting other local dog walkers, I have had very similar conversations of the same nature. Read Less

We have been using the Pines clinic once we got our two cats in 2010. All I can say is my two girls are always treated gently and with great care. Our last visit was with the young Scottish man and he was so very cat empathetic, offering constructive advice and answering our questions informatively using excellent parallels which provided us with clarity about our much loved girls. Hopefully having followed his useful advice, our rather tubby girl will be more sleek on her next visit. Read Less

I have been with Pines for almost 18yrs and they have always treated my pets wonderfully. When we sadly had to have our old cat put to sleep, all staff were amazing - taking time to explain to my children what was going to happen and giving us all the time we needed. Fantastic service. Just been in with my cats Rosie and Dudley for their annual boosters and met Callum for the first time. What a lovely, kind, gentle and patient young man. His treatment of my 2, especially cowardly Duddley, was superb. He didn't rush us and took his time examining my cats. Highly recommend him, especially for nervous cats. Read Less
