NEW 9 and half years here never used dog insurance more than once I advice them to use as he had leg problems and ear problem they said it’s ok as junior staff there,on day of vaccine L4 they gave & 5 hours later at night he collapsed took him to emergency they checked him said he has cancer water around heart if we do surgery he would live 2 months longer and cost £4,000 I said in 9 half years you never seen that problem.I said put him down a gave £500 to put him to sleeping and for ashes then when waking out in hallway they said we keep him here then in morning we see if any surgeons will operate for free there’s no charge they said that all free keeping him here and If surgery no one done in morning they contacted me saying he going to have heatt attack we need to put him down I went there they put him down then gave £3,000 bill I said you said no charge they said we didn’t I said see on your cameras they said they don’t work then next appointment with them they reduced costs but took the money £500 from the first day I gave then £400 insurance cost and the reduced Cost when add up I saw cost was same as first £3,000 I would be advice every one to stay away when dog died in September 2022 they also wouldn’t let me close club membership still was charged till January 2022 and never gave refund keep away from this place as they have joined with a big main company also pines that rip people of thanks. Unfortunately there simply isn’t not enough space here for me to list all the reasons you should avoid this practise at all costs. I was a client for 10 years and thought they were great, until it really mattered, and my opinion of them was shattered time and time again. All I can say is if your pet is diagnosed with a serious/lifelong condition PLEASE seek a second opinion. I have not found that I can truly trust and believe diagnosis or treatment plans. I have been told that there is nothing wrong with my animal and days later we’re at the RVC and facing major surgery. Had I not pushed for this referral my animal would not have been with me for too much longer. It’s terrifying. I write this review simply with the health & wellbeing of people’s animals in mind. If I could leave zero I would My dog was sent to this vet by my registered vet Pines of Maidenhead as they have no out of hours care. This vet failed to communicate effectively with Pines which resulted in my dog being left in pain and trauma for nearly 24 hours My dog died before this vet even began an operation to amputate her leg. Despite this I was charged £1700 Money grabbing incompetent practice. Read Less
