We recently had the mis-fotune of having to have our elderly black lab put to sleep. I recommend this practice. I have just had a very good first visit when I was seen at short notice. Poppy is a small conure who is normally feisty with strangers but I was amazed by Carl Gorman's calm, soothing, and caring approach which reassured both me and Poppy so there was no drama! I feel FALKLANDS  vets are amazing, have been with them over 20 years, never ever had a problem, used them as well well I lived in reading, would never ever go any where else, Carl Gorman is amazing and so is Peter Carr in fact all the vets are just brilliant. I'm a dog groomer for almost 24 years and recommend them highly to all my customers, who have been very happy. Being a dog groomer I hear the good and the bad about different vets and I can assure you, not a bad word is ever said about Falklands, so I will be staying there as long as I have my babies would never!!! On the 26th July 2016 we went to the vets. The family dogs had to go up for annual vacations. The vet was brilliant, talking to the dogs and explaining to us as well. The Falkland vets is a clean and friendly place for animals. I recommend this vets, we've not had any problems getting flea treatment and worming tablets. When we needed an out of hours emergency appointment the service was excellent, and good value for money. Read Less

Exceptional! There are no words to describe the care and attention that both owners and pets receive not only from the vets but the receptionists as well. My dog had a problem that he came to me with when I took him on at 3 years old. He had received copious treatments before I joined Falklands. Just excellent! I have complete trust in them and know that my dogs have always been in the best hands with them. Recently I had to have a very elderly dog put to sleep. It was such a devastating decision to be faced with, but having such genuinely caring and understanding vets to support me was such a comfort. This vets is not recommended to anyone who has rabbits, guinea pigs or any other exotic animal! The amount of knowledge is very poor and treatment is awful! a vet from this surgery broke my rabbits legs through brutal force causing him to later pass. They are Disgusting excuse for someone you are suppose to trust with your animals! Will never recommend to anyone and hope to prevent anyone else having to suffer the same as I did! Read Less

I could not recommend them enough, the support and kindness they have shown to me and my husband over the years with our dog Molly has been above and beyond, the service has always been exceptional and we really truly felt they cared and we trusted them completely... The one thing nobody ever wants to experience is losing a pet and it is incredibly painful but we felt so comforted by the support we received from Peter and everyone at the surgery, words cannot express how grateful we are... Unquestionably the best Veterinary Clinic in Newbury that I have ever used! From the moment that one steps into the Falkland Veterinary Clinic you notice the difference and what a big difference it is! The reception staff know every single animal and their owner by name, they don't just book you in and ignore you like I have previously experienced but they are extremely friendly and they care and it really shows. Lisa in particular is outstanding! The Vets are fantastic, totally approachable, incredibly caring and utterly professional. The particular Vet that I see, Peter Carr, saved most of my elderly dogs teeth which upon inspection looked horrendous but he managed to save all but seven, which was just incredible. he always seems to go that extra mile. One feels that nothing is too much bother at all, they explain everything in terms that are easily understood. They truly are an excellent example of how things should be done. They love all animals, and it shows. I took a wild hedgehog with an injured shoulder to Falkland. They gave it a general anaesthetic and cleaned the wound. We returned home with antibiotics and a healing gel, and were given a follow-up appointment. I was charged for the medicines, but only because I insisted on paying. They didn't charge me for any treatments. Given the care with which they treated a wild animal, I imagine pets get treated like royalty. I'd recommend this vets without hesitation. Read Less
