Finding a practice in Slough has been difficult. This vetinary pratice has been an answer to a prayer for my cat Bianca. She ia a 17 year old rescue cat, and has had many problems which have remained unsolved, and getting a vets appointment has always been a problem with receptionists. At the "Beeches" the reception are friendly and helpful and show compassion for your animal. The vet showed a genuine interest in the cats problems, offered excellent advice, and resolved her problems that were outstanding, was understanding and easy to communicate with. It was clear that the vet cared about the animal, and that the bill (which was much below my expectations) was of secondary importance. Bianca was treated like royalty, and I have NOW found a practice in which I TRUST. Read Less

I have been visiting this practice for 27 years with all my animals and have rated them highly previously on the care and their professionalism. However more recently over the last months my experience had been somewhat different . New vets in practice. Took my dog to them for an ongoing condition she had and was operated for her mouth a year ago. On my return was seen by a new female doctor after explaining to her about recurrence of her mouth ulceration , she said all was fine just needed dental hygiene. I returned my pet and was seen by another male vet , Ian I think , who identified the ulceration and cleansed these as should have been done previously. He did not charge us , highlighting the error of the previous vet. Ian was thorough and professional. Last few days I made contact for my other dog girl who had pulled her knee joint after jumping to chase pigeons. Previously she had been treated by the same female vet with anti inflammatories and resolved. Made contact today to explain the same issue and to collect some more tablets , and the same female vet declined requesting a consultation. I explained that I was a nurse myself and able to judge that nothing more sinister was taking place and then I was offered a telephone consultation for a reduced price of £27 as they would have to check if her overall health. I explained she had an overall check a month ago whilst having her vaccinations, and in their terms it clearly highlights she had to be seen within 3-6 months. When I refused to pay this and that I should look at another practice , the receptionist - for which I liaised at this whole time - no discussion with a vet - said ok let us know and we can send their records. Now not only does this undermine me as competent in recognising the same problem in my pet , the lack of vet communication which is poorly , and more importantly that they are more interested in increasing their business revenue rather than caring for our animals or their customers, and at least being using their services for 27 years , I would at least expected some negotiation and some customer service.
