For anyone considering having their animal (female dog in my case) spayed, I would avoid this practice as they are way behind the times and have no intention of changing to catch up with the rest of the world. Laparoscopic (Keyhole) spaying is not offered by this Vets because "they do not think it is the right way to go". Keyhole surgery is much kinder on the animal with the same effect and faster recovery times and is highly recommended by many eminent vets. Even for humans, it is the gold standard in surgery. Forest House need to update their thinking and consider the wellbeing of the animal. Advantages Smaller wounds and much less trauma Much faster recoveries with a quicker return to activity Keyhole surgery is the gold standard that we expect as human patients Wound size is very much reduced. Typically two 6mm incisions Better visualization of organs and accuracy of surgical technique Less likelihood of wound swelling Less stressful for your dog By far the kindest and best option. I have moved my pets to the Alma Veterinary Hospital and received excellent friendly and modern care for my pet. Read Less
