Aylesbury Companion Care

Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
General Info
At Companion Care we know your pet is a much loved part of the family and you want them to enjoy a long, healthy life. This is why our veterinary teams, made up of animal loving experts, firmly believe in providing the highest level of care and treating every pet they see like they would their own.
Every Companion Care practice is equipped with the latest in technology, which means we can offer your pets the personalised care they need. Our practices are also designed to make your pet’s time with us as comfortable as possible; just like kids don’t always like going to the dentist, we know pets don’t always like going to the vets! Our waiting areas are light and spacious (and with floors that can cope with little accidents) and we also have separate dog and cat wards so your pet can recuperate more comfortably after any treatment.
Our vets will explain all clinical terms so you fully understand what is happening to your pet and you are fully involved in their treatment plan. This also includes being completely transparent in our pricing, so you can make an informed choice on the treatment that you want your pet to receive.
Come and see for yourself at your local Companion Care, why not take a practice tour?

I am pleased to take this opportunity to thank Oliver and his team for their continued support for our dogs. As the owner of dogs ranging from a puppy to a senior of 18 years I have always found the team to be most accomodating, professional and helpful. They were not even perplexed when we arrived with 5 dogs to be microchipped! Olivers team has carried out various procedures from skin scrapes, speying, dental surgery and allergy testing for us alongside puppy vacinations and annual boosters. Thank you to all at Companion Care for your continued care of our pets. Keep up the good work! Read Less

My first experience was with Oliver. I saw him a few times and I came away feeling very positive. Oliver was kind and compassionate and I could tell immediately that he genuinely cared. My experience with Leonie was different. She was frosty and kept referring to my beloved pet as "the dog". "Put the dog on the scale" etc etc. But this is just my own view... Leonie's advice and knowledge was sound nevertheless and I'm told from others that she's like marmite... you either love marmite or you hate it ! On a more positive note, the other staff were all fabulous. I had to say 'goodbye' to my precious dalmation Zulu after a 16 year relationship. He had become too old and euthanasia had been recommended finally... yet I could not bring myself to take Zulu to the vets for this procedure... so I requested the vets to come to my home one evening and put Zulu to sleep in the comfort of my own living room where Zulu would be surrounded by all the things he loved for his final goodbye. A young vet and a nurse came.. they administered a sedative and then retreated into another room while I spent some private time with Zulu and gave him his favourite treats. They told me to take all the time I needed and when I was ready they administered the lethal injection... Zulu fell asleep ever so peacefully as I clung to him... I couldn't tell the difference and I thought he was just sleeping but the vet gently nodded to me signalling that Zulu had crossed over the rainbow bridge... They gave me more private time alone with Zulu and then we wrapped him in his favourite blanket and they took him away with them. I later received Zulu's ashes and a really special card of sympathy and condolences from Oliver's team... I will never forget this gesture of kindness and to date I still have the the card and Zulu's ashes which I can't bear to part with. 2 years later, I now have another precious fur baby.. a 'baby' chihuahua and I hope when her time comes to cross over that rainbow bridge ... Oliver and his team will be right there for us again. Read Less

I took my rabbit in to be spayed first thing Friday morning and had to call at around 5:30pm as I'd received no information of my pets condition and when I would be able to collect her. A few hours after I'd gotten home I received a call stating they'd forgotten to give me her medication I needed to give her. The next day I noticed she hadn't eaten urinated or pooed so took her back in for an emergency appointment where I was given some food paste to force feed her and was told I should make another appointment for Sunday just to be safe (which I got for 2:30). By Sunday morning she was unable to stand and was covered in sick and Diarrhoea, I was unable to phone through to the front desk and I had to make an emergency appointment at my local Vet where I was told she only had minutes left and was forced to put her down. Also when I managed to get through to your reception in order to cancel the 2:30 appointment the woman on the reception desk wasn't very sensitive to the fact my pet had just died. Just an upsetting experience overall. Read Less

I moved vets to this practice because of Oliver Watson(owner) Iwas a long standing client of another local practice. My pet had a chronic illness which caused flares of pain and persistent vomiting(up to 30 times in 24 hours). He became ill and I called my old vet to arrange an out of hours appointment. The vet(knowing my pets illness history) was very reluctant to assist even after telling me it would be 150 for him to see my pet and I had agreed to pay, he was stroppy and made it abundantly clear he was not happy. So I said to forget it I would find someone else to help. I called companion care. It happened the Oliver was still there. He said he would wait for me. So headed right over. He agreed that my pet could not be left like this all night and that he was in pain. He never asked me if I had insurance(which was always the first thing my other practice asked). It was so abundantly clear that Oliver has a love and passion for animals. From that point I changed practice. Everyone at Companion Care Vets is lovely, so caring!!! They kept my old boy comfortable for three years, he always received prompt care and led a happy last three years. When it came time to say goodbye, I trusted Oliver to but him to sleep. He explained what I would see before he did it and I know they treated my pet with care and compassion during his life and after his death. I think they are amazing!! Expect queues and a wait as they are very busy, but the wait is worth it and they give you the time you need in the consult. Read Less
