Don't forget payment as they will not treat your animal until you have put down a deposit! Money is their main motivation not animal welfare so despite your animal requiring urgent medical attention they will stick it in a cage around the back and wait for you to dash home and phone with your credit card details. Disgusting. All explained in a cursory fashion by a vet with the compassion of Hannibal Lecter. I just hope the traffic isn't bad or Fido might not make it. £24 for a £5 buster collar. Rip off. The staff were friendly and the vet surgeon did an amazing, very neat job :) it cost us less than half we were initially asked to pay at a big chain vet store. Would highly recommend this independent vet surgery! Read Less

I visited in August 2012 and took my healthy 6-year old male dog. I was seen by Simon Cartwright, a man who left me feeling absolutely astounded by his schoolboy behaviour during the short consultation. When I asked Simon Cartwright about dietary information, or to check some benign lumps on my dog, or asked him about ways I could ensure my dog lived the longest lifespan attainable, he was joking and laughing and making crass and insensitive comments. I have met some superb vets and just on one occasion - back in 2001 - one awful vet at a practice in Bristol. It's not an exact science, but when a concerned pet-owner such as myself goes in to seek some friendly advice about the love of my life, I'm left speechless and horrified by his attitude and conduct. His attire was slovenly, scruffy blue shirt and untidy hair, and he was clearly only interested in making money by offering me expensive and unnecessary services for my pet, as well as stating that one of the advice leaflets I had picked up in his own waiting room was "a load of rubbish". Why display the leaflet there then, Simon? Don't even entertain taking your dog or cat to this veterinary practice. Appalling.Read Less
