I've been with this vet for the five and a half years I have lived in Milton keynes. They are wonderful in there and have gone above and beyond for my animals. My boy gucci had cancer and they fought hard for him. We got another 2 yrs with our boy until he's heart decided to start packing up on him at the ripe old age of 16yrs. A lot of the bad experiences here appear to be with the previous vet.  They changed in the last six months and our own experience was extremely good.  One of our cats was suffering from liver disease and we were given very good sympathetic advice and whilst we were unable to save him and eventually make that very hard decision that pet owners need to make we felt that throughout we were treated well and our cat was looked after as best as he could be we were ultimately very pleased with the treatment. I would advise everyone to avoid taking your pet to this surgery. I took my pup in for a routine introductory checkup and rather than being met by an empathetic vet, instead encountered a salesman who wanted to medicate my dog for even the most trivial conditions. Puppy crying at night? I could prescribe a homeopathic remedy. One bout of diarrhoea, how about a probiotic? Oh and you should also buy the expensive pet food that we conicidently sell out front. I walked away from this consultation with the feeling that the vet could not care less about the health of my dog, instead focussing on all the possible avenues for inflating the final bill. As someone who works in healthcare I was disgusted that a vet could behave so unethically, particularly so in the recommendation of homeopathy, a complete pseudoscience with no basis in evidence based medicine. The staff have all been great, polite and friendly. The vet himself is new, an Italian gentleman who is very understanding and sincere. We had our cat put to sleep today 15th August 2017 after some week's of ill health and he was extremely considerable in his attitude we couldn't have wished for a better service. Read Less

VETSAVERS are not the worst vets in Milton Keynes they are the worst in the UK. If you love and care for your pets do not take them anywhere near these rude and uncaring people. This place needs closing down. Read Less

Just spoken to the receptionist - confirmed the practice is closed until Tuesday but without prompting directed me to the closest one open over the bank holiday weekend and provided the phone number - very considerate. Read Less

The lady in reception is so rude I couldn't believe how she spoke to customers (when the phone rang she would shout 'shut up and go away) clearly doesn't like animals or people for that! Both vets I have seen don't know what they are doing and missed part of my puppy's treatment. Definitely would not recommend. Read Less

no stars ..had to do one to be able to write a review . However no complaints from me about the lady who hold the reception area together , she is lovely . I had the same as the person below . Someone took my cat in as he had been found unwell . I went into the vets 4 times that week and all I got every single time was * he needs TLC when I expressed concern that my cat hadn't drank or eaten the vet said he wasn't worried . I made it clear I had insurance and still he got no treatment ..just take him home and give him tlc . By the time I took him to walnut tree he was dying of renal failure and so severely dehydrated he couldn't lift his head , he was put to sleep on Saturday night by the vets at walnut tree who did all they could to help him . I will never get over how I watched my little cat slowly spend a week dying . I complained to the area manager and the response is laughable .. she didn't even get the right story , Taking this further . That surgery has failed me for 8 years with the other joke of a vet and now this . Read Less

STAY AWAY .. We took our beloved milo to this vet on Friday morning as he was hit by a car so it was a emergency however the new Asian vet didn't have a clue he gave him a pain relief injection. it worst of all he was bleeding and I couldn't think where he wasn't interested in the blood just pretending to know his job. he wanted us to wait till afternoon for an xray and said nothing to worry milo is only in shock he will be ok in few dsys but we took him to another vet and explained all the situation they checked him over and told us straight away he wouldn't make it he then was put to sleep that vet needs the sack as he doesnt no his job were are truly gutted Read Less

I've been going to Vetsavers for the past 3 or so years to get the annual jabs for my three dogs. The jabs are a lot cheaper than other vets I have been to and ensures their insurance requirements are met. Both of the vets I have met have been friendly. I imagine the majority of dogs which go to Vetsavers aren't usually very friendly as the vet seemed surprised that mine didn't growl/need to be held for their jabs. I tend to use another vet (who I know personally) for health-checks/operations, but Vetsavers are great for the annual jabs. Read Less

DO NOT USE.....rude receptionist and the vet was even worse...had my boy chihuahua snipped and when brought him home he screamed all the next day..phoned them back to say we was concerned..to be told he's a wimp and he will get through it!!!!!! Unbelievable..... Read Less

I was a little hesitatnt to use this vets practice after reading two poor reviews on here, however I have used them with my current and previous cat.  Sadly our cat was run over last year but when I phoned the vets to confirm identification they were kind and helpful, saw him and checked his microchip with no charge.I took our new cat to them to be weighed and to buy flea treatment.  They only charged me for the flea treatment.  I agree the vet herself is a little abrupt, which I put down to her nationality and accent.  However she seems competent and knowledgeable.The receptionist is pleasant and helpful, as is the nurse.  Hopefully we don't need a vet very often but I'll continue using this one. I would rather pay three times the price than ever set foot in this disgusting place ever again! The vet was the rudest person I have ever had the displeasure of meeting and the receptionist who was on duty at the time was so cold and unfriendly. These people clearly dislike their jobs and animals and need a fast lesson in customer service and people skills! Read Less

I was looking for a local Vet, these guys seemed unbelievably cheaply priced so I went for it. On my first visit I was far from warmly welcomed, I expected at least a smile from the receptionist. The Vet (Spanish lady I guess) was cold and uncaring towards my pet. If you asked me what profession I thought she had, I'd never pick a Vet, she seems to dislike animals! She was very rough while handling my small dog, made her bleed like crazy when applying the microchip and then said: "oh that's nothing, it looks worse than it is" while rubbing her wound in an extremely rough manner. She stuck her finger up my small bitch's lady's bit to show me that she was in season, the dog screamed. That's because I told her o thought she might be in season but couldn't tell. And she made us feel like absolute idiots for asking basic questions. At the end of it, the receptionist registered the microchip with the incorrect date of birth for my dog. She could have asked me the DOB instead of making one up... Not that it matters as she got the year right, but the lack of touch was just unbelievable. After that, I registered my dog elsewhere immediately. As they say: you get what you pay for. Lesson learned, I love my dog enough to pay the extra bit for good professional vet care.Read Less

If there was a zero star rating, it would be the case... My experience of this place has been AWFUL! The staff are lovely but the vet is extremely rude and a liar. I joined because of PDSA and have taken my cat a few times, only if he has been very bad. The vet always rolls her eyes, even after seeing us after many months and asks, am I on PDSA still? Yesterday, I took my cat to her and she rolled her eyes yet again and asked the same question, and as usual tried to push their insurance on me when I am on housing benefit and cannot currently afford the vet bills. She gave my cat some injections and even though he was in pain, she said to bring him back on Friday so she could have a look at his leg under sedation, 5 days after his ordeal! He has an absess and has been leaving blood around the house. She then told me PDSA were not going to be happy that I had brought my cat in as the situation was avoidable... is a cat fight avoidable?? She then said PDSA would be chasing her to find out why they were helping!! I rang PDSA today and they confirmed this is a LIE... she is a disgrace to the vets practice. I'm so disgusted, I am changing vets. I have heard other people complain about her also. I will be putting in a complaint to the best friends group as she should be replaced with a decent vet, someone who cares about the animals, people, and is humane and honest! Read Less

Avoid this place. It deserves zero stars. The vet a Spanish women is the rudest, most incompetent, unfriendly, arrogant individual I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. All staff are more concerned with getting as much money from you as is possible. There is no care or compassion at all. I have used this vet on two occasions and have regretted it. There will not be a third time. If there is a person in charge please please do something. A start would be to read the reviews. The vet obviously hates her job and the other staff do not care.
