I've tried a few Vet Practices in Milton Keynes and Willow Vets are the best by far, the staff always go above and beyond what is required of them, there are usually same-day appointments available including evenings, the prices are transparent. I'm the second generation to continually use and trust all the staff at Willow Vetinary. Both my boys (dogs!) have unfortunately had a number of health issues over the past few years therefore we have a great deal of experience with the Willow's team! Firstly, the greeting is always a smile and acknowledgement even if they are busy - most of us don't mind a wait as long as we feel welcomed and respected, do we? Secondly, they listen to what you have to say, and ask sensible and probing questions to encourage further knowledge. Thirdly, if your pets issue cannot be sorted in one visit, you will be given full details on how a treatment/procedure will happen with a quote on costs. This is always swift, with a breakdown supplied for your full consideration. Last but not least, the staff obviously love animals and not just in it for the money. You hear many horror stories of animals that have to stay overnight not even being let out regularly for loo breaks amongst other neglectful things, I don't have that concern with Willow. I would be very surprised to hear of any wrong doing at both the Newport and Olney sites. I don't think I have to say anymore really, if you don't have your beloved pet's registered with Willow's then quite simply, get on with it! Read Less

My scarlet, a 12 year old staff, had already been well looked after by all staff at willow vets. The receptionists loved her (even after cleaning all her wee up!) and the vets did their best for her. She took quite a turn for the worst just over a week ago and on bringing her in without an appointment, she was seen immediately and x-rayed. I had to make the difficult decision to let her go. Those dealing with her made it absolutely clear what the condition was and the possible outcomes. This was done in a kind and respectful manner. I was allowed to sit with scarlet for a few hours before it was time. A number of staff came out to see how she and I were and the process was discussed with again, great care so I knew exactly what to expect. The time of passing was obviously heartbreaking and just over a week later it is still so empty. I had called in to gain a final settlement price and again, there was no rush and it was nothing but kindness from all staff. Today, I collected my Scarlets ashes. This brings to an end a very painful time for her and she is at peace. The receptionist this morning was again sympathetic and kind, even as I had a cry. I cannot fault the generosity and kindness of the staff at willow vets in Newport Pagnell. One of the hardest days of my life, they were all there to support. Martin Jackson Read Less

Our first visit to Willow Newport Pagnell was under unfortunate circumstances to have our 8 year old Boxer put to sleep. We went into the Newport willows on Saturday morning after our beagle Luna had trod on a broken glass bottle. She was bleeding from her paw very heavily. When we arrived Luna was seen and the vet was amazing! I was very upset seeing my pup in that condition but the lady and all the reception staff kept me calm and reassured me everything was going to be ok. Even when Luna was bleeding out very badly the vet was calm and tried her best to keep everyone there positive and happy. They kept Luna for a few hours as she needed to be sedated and stitched. The same vet rang me and talked me through everything that happened. Luna had cut her paw very deep, to her muscle and had burst some veins, that's why there was so much blood. She was very helpful and assured me Luna was going to be ok. When I collected Luna, all the reception staff asked me if I was ok and gave Luna lots of fuss. At our check up appointment on Monday the nurse checked Lunas stitches and said they were very neat and she should make a full recovery. The vet done an excellent job. All of the reception staff again asked me if I was feeling better and all gave Luna lots of fuss. Willows made our very upsetting visit as calm and positive as they could. Thank you to the two lovely ladies on reception in Newport Pagnell today - my dog got so stressed out last time we visited that we had to go and sit in a quiet room until the vet was ready. A friend advised to take her in next time I was passing and sit in the waiting room to get her used to being there, I did this today and the two ladies made a big fuss of her, she got lots of cuddles and treats and shown into many rooms - thank you ladies - I have a feeling she may drag me in next time we pass X Read Less

I cannot recomend Willows enough. My cat was taken ill recently and ended up staying almost a week. Every member of staff was so kind and caring. The vets all took time to explain the illness and answer any questions I had. They also gave me plenty of advice for aftercare. My cat also had to stay overnight at the out of hours vets in walnut tree, again brilliant care. The receptionists are always well informed and are extremely helpful. The nurses, the ones I have had the pleasure to meet, are wonderful, knowledgeable and caring. I was a daily visitor the practice to visit my cat, I witnessed the care that is taken with every animal that comes into the willows surgery.Read Less

I am actually registered with Aston Lee. Having phoned them on Saturday early doors to see if it was possible to get my dogs glands drained because he was at his back end constantly, I was told they couldn't fit me in and whilst I ummed and aaaahed over what to do next as we were going away that afternoon the women on reception said 'I've got another call waiting' and cut me off!!!! I called Willow explained I wasn't registered with them but my dog was bothered by his bottom, the said come down in 15 minutes, the Nurse drained his glands, weighed him and with no charge!!!! My wife has come back twice from the vets very upset from taking our dog. I am sure reading the other reviews they must be very good with animals but I'm afraid not for us. We still don't know what we can do to help our dogs ear infection or indeed if we've contributed to it. All I know is my wife has come back twice now not sure what is happening and felt as if she was being accused of abusing our family pet! Best of luck but not for us thank you. Read Less

The reception staff, the nurses and the vets are all unfailingly helpful. If we need to take our little cockapoo to the vet we know she's going to get the best care possible. We've just had her spayed and the operation was a success, the wound healed very quickly and she wagged her tail when we took her back for a check up. Absolutely brilliant. Read Less

Brilliant practice. We had a falling out in the past. and I went elsewhere, but then went back. These people really do listen. They are prepared to learn and develop. They clearly have the animals best interests at heart and have gone all out to help one of my dogs who has been seriously ill and who has the same condition that one of my old dogs (same breed) had. Thank you so much for helping me get her as far as she has. Especially to Caroline who has been so supportive in helping getting my girl a good quality of life.
