I had an emergency with my green iguana this morning I live in grantham my vets don't deal with exotics and referred me to animates. We saw Sarah and she was fantastic genghis was also well behaved for her. We felt much better after seeing her and genghis came home and had something to eat which is wonderful. He's not out of the woods but we will highly recommend this wonderful friendly practice.

Sadly Dolly needed to be put to sleep. But the vet and lovely nurse made it that bit easier by how kind they were. I received a sympathy card this morning, which was very touching. Thank you

We have been with animates for many years, unfortunately we had to have our dog put to sleep and I can quite honestly say animates were the best. Sanne treated Duke with love and compassion and gave us all the time we needed. Duke was not a lover of the vets so we were worried that he would be stressed but the staff made sure that he was as comfortable as possible. We could not have asked for more. To top it all off we received a lovely card through the post which we very much appreciated. Thank you so much animates x

Saw Sarah Pellet today with Leo and her nurse Caroline. Just want to say how impressed I was. Leo had his dental today and will be coming back regurlary now for dental checks. I have never seen him recover so fast after an anaesthetic usually its hard to get him to eat the same day and a battle with syringe feeding. But today he came home after all ready eating and has continued to eat drink and poop at home :) we are still topping up with syringe feeds but he seems so well in himself (this makes a crazy bunny lady very happy). You guys were rushed off your feet today working so hard like you always do but you still saw him, did the procedure and sent him home safely & quicker then anywhere else before. I will highly reccomend you guys, you are fab!♡♡♡

Sorted him out a treat, am writing this review as it's time to bring him in again for another round of dentistry. It prompted me that I'd forgotten to write this first time.
The separate exotic area behind the main area is lovely, dogs and chinchillas just don't mix :)

Very caring and professional vetenary centre with a seprate building that cares for small animals. They look after our dogs, guinea pigs and rats. I would like to give 5 stars but struggle with the cost of care and drugs. Charging x4 the cost of online drug prices, shows there must be at least a 400% markup which I find a hard pill to swallow.

Clearly Charlie has been very well looked after and cared for. Sarah rang me as soon as they opened the next morning which I really appreciated and told me how he was getting on ! By 5pm he was ready to come home it was very touch and go that he would make it but they have treated him for everything they possibly could and we are all so thrilled especially Charlie's best friend Lacey my 3 year old daughter that he is recovering and we hope and pray he will make a full recovery with his goody bag of medicine ! He just keeps improving which isn't very common for them. I cannot thank Animates enough and would highly recommend them!

I am so upset, money makers and don't apologise for their mistakes. Once Mo is better I will be leaving this vets practice. I have been paying 15 for the pet plan for 2 years and only recently cancelled it. Mo has recently had what they think is infected anal glands. But told me they need to have a discussion with me at my next appointment on how to avoid this in the future. She doesn't lick that area or scoot. I am a first time dog owner which is why I took the plan out for advice. They never once checked her anal glands. The vet didn't tell me how much everything would be till I got to the reception and the receptionist told me the amount like it was 50p. Furthermore I told the receptionist I would claim as it was a bit of money. She booked me in for my next appointment and gave me no medication. I thought maybe they had given it to her in the appointment room so I needed to do nothing else. Later after that I called and spoke with another receptionist who told me what I needed to do with claiming etc as I had never done it before. My husband usually dealt with it. No one said anything about the medication and she had my file up etc. My mother in law called my husband on the Saturday after my appointment on the Thursday and said that he had nearly picked up our prescription but they said she couldn't have it as we hadn't paid for it. I went in on the Monday to pick up and again the lady told me the price of it all. I said well am I paying for medication and claiming later or? And she said claim when I come back for my next appointment and gave me the medication. The receptionist said she had tried to call me but hadn't got through. They had my partners old number which was our fault. But she shouldn't have let me leave without it. I asked also as the area was bleeding and that I was told to bring Mo in it it did as it meant the absis had burst if it is an absis. The receptionist got a vet who advised only to bring her in if I was worried. Obviously I am and I did mention it had got bigger. The vet said "well if she had her medication it would have got better". I said I wasn't aware and I did speak to someone and they said nothing. No apologises or anything. So mad and upset. Once it is sorted I will be taking my money elsewhere.

Would just like to praise animates, especially Sarah and her nurses who went above and beyond for my much loved bearded dragon Harleyquinn who unfortunately had burnt his little body. If it wasn't for the care Harley received straight away he wouldn't have made it through the night. This was the first time I have used animates but I will continue to bring Harley here purely for the fact that I know he is in safe hands. He is now doing extremely well and he's even had a full shed which has gotten rid of the burnt skin and toxins. Thank you so much for saving my little man and taking such good care of him.

Absolutely brilliant, I can highly recommend Animates to anyone who truly cares about their pets! I took my Macklots Python in to see Sarah recently and I was truly impressed, I didn't expect that he would be seen to on the day but within 30 minutes of arriving he had been seen to and I was on my way! I will certainly be returning should the need arise, I couldn't have asked for a more knowledgable, professional and caring person!

You really get what you pay for with these guys also not like the rip off reptile vets you hear about occasionally. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!!!!!! Absolutely fantastic service and very comforting for me while I was feeling upset upon initially taking him in. Absolutely brilliant place!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had an emergency with my green iguana this morning I live in grantham my vets don't deal with exotics and referred me to animates. We saw Sarah and she was fantastic genghis was also well behaved for her. We felt much better after seeing her and genghis came home and had something to eat which is wonderful. He's not out of the woods but we will highly recommend this wonderful friendly practice.

We have been with animates for many years, unfortunately we had to have our dog put to sleep and I can quite honestly say animates were the best. Sanne treated Duke with love and compassion and gave us all the time we needed. Duke was not a lover of the vets so we were worried that he would be stressed but the staff made sure that he was as comfortable as possible. We could not have asked for more. To top it all off we received a lovely card through the post which we very much appreciated. Thank you so much animates x

Saw Sarah Pellet today with Leo and her nurse Caroline. Just want to say how impressed I was. Leo had his dental today and will be coming back regurlary now for dental checks. I have never seen him recover so fast after an anaesthetic usually its hard to get him to eat the same day and a battle with syringe feeding. But today he came home after all ready eating and has continued to eat drink and poop at home :) we are still topping up with syringe feeds but he seems so well in himself (this makes a crazy bunny lady very happy). You guys were rushed off your feet today working so hard like you always do but you still saw him, did the procedure and sent him home safely & quicker then anywhere else before. I will highly reccomend you guys, you are fab!♡♡♡

Sorted him out a treat, am writing this review as it's time to bring him in again for another round of dentistry. It prompted me that I'd forgotten to write this first time.
The separate exotic area behind the main area is lovely, dogs and chinchillas just don't mix :)

I would like to give 5 stars but struggle with the cost of care and drugs. Charging x4 the cost of online drug prices, shows there must be at least a 400% markup which I find a hard pill to swallow.

Just want to say a massive thank you to Sarah and the rest of the team who looked after our very loved and unique rabbit Charlie .. took him in 27/1/17 at just before 7pm . Clearly Charlie has been very well looked after and cared for. Sarah rang me as soon as they opened the next morning which I really appreciated and told me how he was getting on ! By 5pm he was ready to come home it was very touch and go that he would make it but they have treated him for everything they possibly could and we are all so thrilled especially Charlie's best friend Lacey my 3 year old daughter that he is recovering and we hope and pray he will make a full recovery with his goody bag of medicine ! I have a 2 and a half year old male chinchilla that developed over grown teeth and it was quite bad, Sarah and the nurses went above and beyond for my little man back in October after he was misdiagnosed at a different clinic. He just keeps improving which isn't very common for them. I cannot thank Animates enough and would highly recommend them!

I am so upset, money makers and don't apologise for their mistakes. Once Mo is better I will be leaving this vets practice. I have been paying 15 for the pet plan for 2 years and only recently cancelled it. Mo has recently had what they think is infected anal glands. But told me they need to have a discussion with me at my next appointment on how to avoid this in the future. She doesn't lick that area or scoot. I am a first time dog owner which is why I took the plan out for advice. They never once checked her anal glands. The vet didn't tell me how much everything would be till I got to the reception and the receptionist told me the amount like it was 50p. Furthermore I told the receptionist I would claim as it was a bit of money. She booked me in for my next appointment and gave me no medication. I thought maybe they had given it to her in the appointment room so I needed to do nothing else. Later after that I called and spoke with another receptionist who told me what I needed to do with claiming etc as I had never done it before. My husband usually dealt with it. No one said anything about the medication and she had my file up etc. My mother in law called my husband on the Saturday after my appointment on the Thursday and said that he had nearly picked up our prescription but they said she couldn't have it as we hadn't paid for it. I went in on the Monday to pick up and again the lady told me the price of it all. I said well am I paying for medication and claiming later or? And she said claim when I come back for my next appointment and gave me the medication. The receptionist said she had tried to call me but hadn't got through. They had my partners old number which was our fault. But she shouldn't have let me leave without it. I asked also as the area was bleeding and that I was told to bring Mo in it it did as it meant the absis had burst if it is an absis. The receptionist got a vet who advised only to bring her in if I was worried. Obviously I am and I did mention it had got bigger. The vet said "well if she had her medication it would have got better". I said I wasn't aware and I did speak to someone and they said nothing. No apologises or anything. So mad and upset. Once it is sorted I will be taking my money elsewhere.

Would just like to praise animates, especially Sarah and her nurses who went above and beyond for my much loved bearded dragon Harleyquinn who unfortunately had burnt his little body. If it wasn't for the care Harley received straight away he wouldn't have made it through the night. This was the first time I have used animates but I will continue to bring Harley here purely for the fact that I know he is in safe hands. He is now doing extremely well and he's even had a full shed which has gotten rid of the burnt skin and toxins. Thank you so much for saving my little man and taking such good care of him.

Absolutely brilliant, I can highly recommend Animates to anyone who truly cares about their pets! I took my Macklots Python in to see Sarah recently and I was truly impressed, I didn't expect that he would be seen to on the day but within 30 minutes of arriving he had been seen to and I was on my way! I will certainly be returning should the need arise, I couldn't have asked for a more knowledgable, professional and caring person!

You really get what you pay for with these guys also not like the rip off reptile vets you hear about occasionally. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!!!!!!!!
